a lovely place to have a cold beer .. which is hard to get in essaouira ;-) staff friendly... we didnt eat here but the food being served up around us looked very nice... i would highly recommend the Casablanca beer! the cocktails come very strong as the moroccans dont seem to measure shots like the mean British bars do... We climbed to the upper terrace for a cocktail and view of the sea. Quite a stocked bar and drink list, which was an exception in this primarily alcohol-free town. Very nice, relaxing spot -- take a sweater if the wind is blowing, as it can cool down quickly.

Taros is a nice restaurant near the main square, the restaurant is Moroccan style with Moroccan food on offer. The lamb tagine was great as well as the duck. There is a resident close up, table magician who is absolutely great with a fab rendition of tricks. The restaurant is inside on the first floor and on the rooftop there... More

First night in Essaouira and my friends and I decide we would try Taros as it was close to our Riad. After a long bus journey from Marrakech we were very hungry. When we entered the restaurant at 8pm we were informed we would have to wait 30 minutes for a table. We decided to wait so ordered some drinks.... More

This is a great spot for a fine dinner (at the restaurant) and a drink/mint tea after at the rooftop bar with some live music. Make sure that you bring some warm jacket as evenings can bi a bit chilly. Highly recommended.

The location is nice. The food was ok. The lady in the reception was quite rude and the waiters slow. We asked for desert menus and it took more than half an hour and nobody came to take our order. We finally gave up and asked for the bill - it was delivered bit faster.

Great late night venue with a view, cozy design and atmosphere. Prices are similar to Europe, 190DH for a good white wine (try Moroccan), 70DH for a cocktail. Great Place to chill out from the noisy medina! Although, customer service is poor and waiters are quite rude, but it didn't ruined all night and atmosphere.

What a location! We ate at Taros a year ago on my wife's birthday on a day trip to Essaouira from Agadir, when we stumbled across it by chance. It was a very hot day and we had two teenage nieces with us. We all had a great meal on the roof top terrace under large straw hats as all... More

Beautiful rooftop terrace and nice live music. Service is poor and drinks and food are overrated. That is a pity for such a nice place.
