Very good thai food and very nice ambiance

Went to this restaurant on a friend's recommendation. They serve authentic thai dishes in their small but cosy restaurant, beautiful setting, nice ambiance. Love the duck dish the most But reservation is a must so as not to be disappointed as they are packed most of the time, if not all the time.

One thing is very authentic about this restaurant is the owner manages the restaurant himself, He was there to take our order and very friendly to recommending his menu to us. Should make reservation first because the tables are very limited. The food was nicely presented, and nice chinaware too. Good selection of desserts. Price is high, about rm 100/... More

Worth coming for special occasion, we ordered roasted duck curry (rm58) , Seafood Tom Yam (rm48) , Soft Shell Crab (rm68), & Red Ruby (rm12). I am a curry lover so my expectation for curry is relatively high, so far this is the best roasted duck curry I ever tried, the soft texture of the duck is still in my... More

Not easy to find if you are not familiar with this part of town but the place beats all the rest in terms of its authenticity and quality of food. the owner is Thai and very particular about his food and takes orders personally. he can be sensitive about criticism and cancellations.

Must book one day ahead and order first. Excellent Thai food. Cook unique dishes. One must try is the mangosteen salad (must be during mangosteen season ). Weekday closed for lunch. Be prepared to fork out RM 100 pp. Worth it.

I had heard so much about this place, but due to one reason or another, never visited it. Try I did, with a friend, and absolutely that we did. Wonderful dishes recommended by the owner, and we were so glad we did. I can never forget the curry cockles...never tried anything like it...never will. Do try their special dishes as... More

Warm, cosy place with owners who are passionate about the food they serve - what a fantastic combination that results in excellent food every visit. I have been to this restaurant about 5 times within recent memory and each time has been just great. Food is always consistently delicious. Best Thai food in KL bar none. Forget about the other... I've been to Erawan a couple of times over the years and have never been disappointed in any of my visits. Price may be a bit on the high side, but the quality of food and taste are definitely worth it. In short, you get what you pay for. This time I had: 1. Pomelo salad, again - tasted just... More

I like the food. Especially the green curry cockles. Is delicious! But no doubt that this restaurant is over charging for the food served. Anyway , I will only return to the restaurant on special occasions. Other than that, not really will return .

Erawan is situated in Kota Damansara. It is helmed by 2 brothers (one managing the kitchen, and one managing the customers). It is a small cosy place with limited seating so reservations is advised. The menu is classic thai yet unique. Strongly recommended.
