Simple, Basic meals with Real Warmth and Friendliness

When I was in Kuching last Nov+Dec, I frequently passed by Borneo Delight: the menu prices were soooo low, and the interior seemed so...meager, that I just walked on by. This time round, I was sadly disappointed to see the security gate pulled closed. Tight. I checked back several times... read more

I am sorry to say our experience was not really a great one. We we're told that they only had enough rice for 1 person so we had to share plus when the food came out It was slightly tasteless. We ate at a street food bar right opposite the next night that was better. Sorry.

Laksa was lovely, beautifully presented and a million times better than what if tried in Singapore China town however when I went back I tried their yellow special noodles which were average tasting and super oily. Meals cost around 5 ringgit each.

I enjoyed this place and the price was very good for the quality given. Had the laksa which was certainly the most tasty version I tried in two weeks in Borneo - have to say I wasn't enamoured with the Malay food which did surprise me. But this should not reflect on this establishment!

This is a great place to sample local cuisine at local prices! There is a decent menu with a good variety of rice and noddle dishes, all around 3 RM. The yellow fried noddles with chicken and oyster sauce was delicious, and the chicken black pepper was the best I had in Malaysia. Portion sizes are decent and there's a... More

This was our favourite restaurant during our week long stay in Kuching. We tried various dishes from the menu but our favourite was the yellow noodles in spicy black bean sauce (the obliging staff cooked mine without the chicken, and my partner opted to have his without the seafood or fish), As we like our food particularly spicy, we always... Cheap, basic, tasty and quick family run business. Good if you're looking for good food at a good price (approx 3MR for fried noodle dish).

The food at Borneo Delight was delicious and ridiculously cheap. We absolutely loved it and can't recommend it highly enough. It's a simple looking place but don't be put off by that...an absolute gem.

It would be easy to see why people walk past this place. Its a very simple place however the food was cheap and great. We ate the Sarawak Laksa and a flat rice noodle dish. Both were great. It wasn't busy however there was a Malaysian family, a couple of Malaysian guys eating burgers (Yes they sell burgers), an american... More

I had breakfast here a few times whilst staying at the borneo seahare guesthouse just next door.. The food is very nice, simple and affordable.. I'd recommend you try the curry noodles here they are very good and great value for money.
