The chinese food section is a favourite amongst the people in Kuching. The building was the old fire station of Kuching - hence the tower which is a good landmark for spotting the hawker centre. Inside a lot of Chinese families cook up various different kind of dishes. The stalls owners tend to coax you into eating at their tables... More

Food here is cheap, though the portion is not that generous. Best place to eat local food without burning your pocket as prices are low. It may not look much, but this is a typical Kuching way to eat street food. Best dining place to eat for those staying at the old city center, and do not have transportation.

At this place, you can find many local Kuching food. You can find 'sio bee' here. Sio Bee is one of my favourite . It's the best 'sio bee' (dumplings) I ever had. This is one of the must eat food in Kuching. I introduced them to my friends from other cities and they really loved them. It tastes and... More

At +/- RM4 per dish, you can't complain. The food is OK, but you're here I'm an effort to blend in with the locals and observe their habits as they come and go. There's all varieties of fried rice and laksi (noodle soup) on offer, as well as drinking water and soft drinks, and if you're lucky to come during... More

There is one particular Chinese Food stall, that is so popular because he starts as early as 5.30am to sell parcels of food to Car drivers on their way to work. The owner runs between the traffic to deliver their food while they stop for seconds. By 8am he usually has sold out everything he had. One of few stall holders... More

We ate at the Top Spot on top of the car park area for delicious seafood. The prawns and fish were excellent and value for money Cannot get such nice big prawns in West Malaysia for the price we pay!

Simple hawker food. Lots of choice. Cheap. Not very clean. There are two sections to this hawker centre. The front portion (nearer to the Central Police station) sells desserts, noodles and rice. Try the rojak (vegetables in prawn paste), kolo mee noodles, ice kacang. The stalls at the back sell seafood dishes and rice porridge.Worth trying. Not halal.

Very cheap and tasty food at Kuching. One of the famous hawker stall is near to bus terminal area. Just opposite Electra house and near to the mosque. Must try out the Kolok mee, siew bee, laksa. The price range is from RM2 to RM5. Very cheap! The are few seafood stalls for dinner also. The price is cheaper than... More
