The food are delicious, yet reasonable price especially the set lunch meals offered. A variety of choices, and the portion is big, very fulfilling. The atmosphere is great and a wide selection of Japan flown in comics to occupy your time while waiting for food. It can be quite a long wait during lunch hour as they are often packed... More

Worth the effort to find this little gem. Very good food, with an extensive authentic Japanese menu. The service was great, and staff friendly. Each of the tables is within its own little 'booth', divided from other diners, which gives a cozy atmosphere for couples or group dining (unlike so many huge, open-plan restaurants in Penang). Definitely worth a visit!

Aji Noren is one of the best japanese restaurant in pg, no denying about it. Great food eventhough the place is not that big but it was ok. The only thing that's lacking is the services. The waitresses are not friendly. I find it so difficult for them to explain to us whats on the menu as they expect us... More

Reasonable price and taste is quite good, can afford by all range of people. Busy and Noisy Environment just like Japan Izakaya(居酒屋) which is not suitable for me. If you like Izakaya Feel then this is the place for you !

The set lunches start at RM15, portions are generous and favors very good. A bit salty for our taste, but perfect for stretching with loads of rice. I ordered the teppanyaki salmn and my daughter the chicken Teppan. The set is served with rice, miso sop, pickles, cabbage salad and fruit (watermelon). Unpretentious, comfortable, and a gem we will return... More

Have been coming here regularly for 2 years. Food served here is good and quite authenthic in my opinion. There are also some fusion food avaliable Try to make a reservation if possible as the place can get crowded at times. If not, go early for lunch or dinner to get a place to sit. There also have a so-callled... More

We were there for our lunch. We saw several Japanese were there for their lunch as well, thus, it is not too much to conclude that the taste of food is authentic. However, there is a room for improvement. The rice was too moist, Japanese rice should not cook in such. Overall, the meals served were bit salty, the cook... More

Really surprised to find a restaurant in Penang which is equally good as the ones I used to visit when I was in Japan. So many menu items but you do not need to be frustrated. Each item is shown with a clear photo so you know what you are going to eat. Besides that, I ordered one peculiar Japanese... More
