In the middle of town, near the colonial style Eastern & Oriental Hotel, is this busy, noisy but wonderful food court. It brings together all the different kitchens from Malaysia and beyond. Service is like it should be: quick and business - like. Hot spot for locals and (Lonely Planet carrying) tourists alike.

Good food, good price in one location. The best char koay teow I have tasted so far. Service is great and organised. The place is very busy but staff is always available to help you find a table. Live band plays Saturdays and Sundays. Will definitely come back to try other dishes :-)

Read a few reviews about this being touristy. It probably is, but it's because it offers so much in the one location. Great choice of food, both local and further afield. Cold beer and free entertainment. Lots of people but always plenty of seats to choose from. We ate mostly local cuisine and enjoyed every dish, and we did eat... More

Very busy place tucked away behind an parkingplace. The place has an vibrant atmosphere. Try the Charcoaled bamboo fried rice!! or the Barbequed stingray or some Sashimi. GO !!

We spent 7 days in Georgetown and ate here every night. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We chose to select a different food stall each night and had not one bad meal. A great way to taste the different ethnic cuisines. Well worth a visit

Clean, vibrant and no pressure hawkers! Had a great fish dinner (point at the piece you want) with a garlic eggplant dish then enjoyed drinks while listening to the live entertainment (singers and dancers)- better than watching Aust. Idol! Go and enjoy.

This area is full of small food stalls, the food is freshly prepared, as are the fruit juices - both are delicious and very reasonably priced. There are a multitude of options, so be prepared to spend some time looking at all the menus. The markets are open in the evening,so don't bother until it's dark. The table service is... More

We returned to the Red Garden as always to eat fantastic Malaysian food and Peneng Kway Teow. The food cooked here is truely a sight to see. All different tastes to tempt each and everyone of us. The fish stall has amazing fresh seafood and they cook it perfectly. The whole place just comes alive whilst you sit and eat.... More
