One of our favourites in Penang

We first went to this food market when we were staying at the Blue Mansion as it is next door, and when we headed back to Penang for the weekend we knew that we were going to eat there again. It's lively, buzzing, the food is varied... the people are helpful and enthusiastic. You find a table... read more

Great selection of Penang hawker food, Malay, Chinese, Indian and western.... There is a stage in the middle with live entertainment in the evening. What's not to love? Cheap food, beer and being sung to! A great night out!!

Went to the Red Garden Food Paradise Night Market with five friends the other night. Got a table then went to stalls and ordered food to our number. Delicious food, we had saag aloo, aloo gobi, fried oysters, char toew koy and another delicious noodle dish. Lots of locals the night we went, and a band that really added to... More

Just like other food markets you had many choices of food but the quality was average yet the cost was expensive, we ordered fried oyster with egg and the price was RMY25 while other food market costed only MYR14.

This is such an interesting place to eat and people watch. There is a wide selection of fresh food on offer. The place is clean and the servers very efficient. The price compares well to other similar places too. If you are in Georgetown for a couple of nights, I'd certainly recommend a meal here.

food selection is ok with a selection of the common hawkers food stalls but compared to other markets in Penang, it is a little overpriced

If you can't find what you want to eat at the Red Garden, you probably can't find it in Penang! What an incredible place. The concept is terrific - pick a table (go early as it gets very crowded later on), then go to a stall and order your food. Give them your table number and your order shows up... More

It may be a bit crowded and hectic but it's a great spot for dinner. There's ample selection on offer to eat. The food stalls are a step above most other street eats you'll encounter in Asia. I chose the Indian stall, lamb chilli and a garlic naan. It was excellent. The waiter warned me it was spicy and he... More

What a great idea. Choose a table, order drinks which arrive and are paid for. Then go to stall where one wants to order, food freshly cooked and then delivered to table and paid for. This suited us beautifully as we choose from different stalls to cater for our different tastes. So much to choose from.

It is open til late, and they have live music (both english and chinese songs). You can find most of penang food and seafood here. It's a good place to fill you up after a long tiring day of strolling in the city. Ps: I did not find nasi kandar here. But they have plenty of Nasi kandar in Little... More
