Def an experience

Large range of food types plus there are local singers on stage and on a Sunday night there is a lady boy show. Worth it just to people watch and soak up the atmosphere never mind sample the eclectic food

Great food, great prices. It's a gathering of independent food stalls, each offering one or two specialties. They all all specialists in what they sell so most of the food is very good. Prices are street food prices. Only thing lacking is air-conditioning! Only opens for dinner

Went here on the recommendation of our hostel. There is a very wide range of Asian food and also a few stalls offering pizza and other western foods. There are around 20 stalls in total and you can order from as many as you like. There is also a stage in the centre and there was performances/karaoke going on which... More

Red Garden food market is garish, loud and worth visiting if you want to immerse yourself in the melded Asian culture of Penang. Most, if not all nights, Chinese entertainers will be crooning away on stage, with local characters in the crowd singing and swaying along. The food choices are wide ranging (local Penang dishes, Chinese, Filipino, Middle Eastern, and... More

My friend and I wondered in after walking for over an hour in search of a famous char kway teow stall on Jalan Siam - but that place was closed because it was a Sunday. Red Garden proved to be an excellent alternative for dinner; it was not hard to find seats and we were wowed by all the choices... More

The food is very good though a little pricey compared to the street hawkers and coffee-shop stalls. The barbecue chicken wings are super. The Chinese rojak (fruit salad) was fantastic. The Cuttlefish Kangkong was also delicious. The Cha Kueh Teow was simply lip-smacking.

The food here, by Penang standards, is pretty average and over priced. It caters to first-timers to Penang and Asia, who don't really know what the food should taste like, and is not representative of the incredible diversity Penang has to offer. While it's OK for one visit, don't expect too much in the way of authenticity, or value for... More

This is one of the famous night out place. I like the atmosphere, even I am a picky food chooser. There are more of my own experiences in kinmun.net/malaysia/penang. I ate only the bests :D locals.
