We went there on our first night in Penang and it was a really good experience. Great selection of food at the various food stalls and also good athmospere. Food also was reasonably priced and services really good (and quick). What makes the place really special is the stage that several performers sing and dance. Very entertaining.

This was my favourite food market in the area. It's big and it has a wide range of different food to chose from. It's well organised and clean. Prices are ok and very similar to every other market around. Local food is great and also the waffles are absolutely delicious :) drinks are a bit more expensive though.

A great experience of local food in an outdoor setting, the drinks staff a very friendly & help with getting a table sorted, you select from the various outlets give them your table number then they deliver the food to you & you pay them at this time

We went with our kids and had a fun time. The food stalls cover everything from local to Philippines so there is quite a diverse selection. Overall it was nice as the karaoke girls ramped up the vibe with some off key performances. After dinner, we walked across the street to Georgetown Wines for a glass of wine and dessert... More

Why go to Red Garden when there are so many food courts in this foodie paradise of Penang? We normally stay in Air Itam when we are in Penang yet occasionally still make the tedious drive into George Town to come here despite having to pass many other places to eat on the way. It has to be said that... More

Really enjoyed eating here, although noisy at times. Good selection of food and and all prepared or cooked fresh. Option for takeaway as well. They put on really great entertainment for Christmas and we really enjoyed it.

we went there for the first dinner in Georgetown/Penang. Lively atmosphere, somewhat basic outdoor seating and quickly filling up in the evening. We had an array of different Thai, local and barbecued dishes and seafood. It was good and inexpensive. The place is popular with tourists, but it also attracts many locals, which is an indicator that the food is... More

There is something to please everyone in this food place. The food is well cooked and very reasonably priced. Find your table, order your food and once cooked they will deliver it to your table. You then pay for it and eat. There is also some musical entertainment which ranges from terrible to some not too bad singers. A great... More

While there were a few stalls that I thought looked good, most were very clearly geared towards tourists with English-only signage and inflated prices. I'm sure most of the food is decent and the prices lower than what you'd find at home, but in a city with so much good, cheap food, why go here?

It seems like a popular place and locals flock there quite a bit. But personally the food wasn't the best in Penang. I had satay as one of my choices. Had to say it was disappointing. Best description I think is an average Newton Circus type of place.
