awesome food

This is the place to go for quality food and good service. We pre-order our food and upon arriving, we were immediately seated and the food came within 10 min. We had steamed fish, curry prawn, braised abalone with sea cucumber, pork knuckles and stir-fry chilli clam

This is a place where the local goes. We tried the oyster noodle, the kids absolutely adore it. The prawn with butter and cheese are well portioned for our family with 2 young kids. We find the pricing are reasonable and it is all well written out in the menu with pictures of the food. We will definitely recommend this... More

I was fortunate to have been invited to eat at the Foong Wei Heong Restaurant by a Penang resident. When we arrived at our appointed time (7:00pm) the restaurant was almost full. It was on a Wednesday evening. All customers (apart from me) were locals. This was obviously a good sign. Service was quick and professional. The standard of the... More

This is a family restaurant but with dishes comparable to other famous one. It is not very big (maybe about 20 tables) but is very popular especially with the local people. Reservation is highly recommended if you plan to have a dining gathering there (I made my reservation from Singapore). It has some very good dishes like the Peking Duck... More

Eat where the locals eat but unless you're super shrewd you probably will not be able to get a table nor ever try this out. The food is that good. No joke. Let's just say you do manage to squeeze a spot, do not waste it . Make sure you try a good variety . The waitresses are not helpful,... More

The place gets filled up quickly even on a weekday night. We were lucky to get a table since we did not book ahead for dinner. The dishes we ordered were roasted duck, sour spicy soup, spring rolls and hor fun. Very satisfied with the food and prompt service. I will definitely come back to try other mouth watering dishes.

Coming from KL where we have numerous excellent Cantonese cuisine I must say that our family were very happy with our dinner tonight . Great value for money. Called ahead for reservation and prebooked their signature Penang Style Peking Duck . Yummilicious! Service was quick and good friendly staff. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had dinner here recently. He had read several good reviews and we were curious about what this place had to offer. The menu is in English and Chinese and the wait staff were friendly. We ordered the duck and yam soup, promfret cooked in 2 ways, and one portion each of spring roll and prawn roll.... More

This place gets crowded at around 7pm, so you'll need to get in early. In fact, we rocked up at 6ish, when things were still fairly quiet, and were told that reservations are recommended. When the food arrives, you'll know why it's so popular. Foong Wei Heong serves excellent Chinese food. We ordered their signature crispy honey pork (which was... More
