Yummy if you ordered the correct topping. I had communication break-down. I had to point but what I pointed at initially, didn't became reality. At that point, I told myself that I have to brush up on my hokkien and pointing skills.

This noodle Koay Chiap is similar to the one we had in Thailand except the soup base was different, here the gravy is rather darker but the taste is better then the white gravy in Thailand which is sweeter,we prefer this one at Kimberly street..delicious,by the way the noodle is squarish and flat made from rice, bigger vision of Keow Teow
We use to arrange a trip to Penang every year to enjoy ourselves on street food. One of our favourite store in town. Very disappointed with the taste and the texture of the rice noodle.
I've always been a fan of the Kuay Chap but during my last trip to Penang in April 2013, the Kuay Chap was terrible. The stock was very bland and the rice kuey tiaw was overcooked and mushy. Very disappointed.
I totally love it!! My favourite noodle. The soup is full of flavour, the noodles r so soft n smooth. I had never come across anything like this though I am a Penangnite. Now they have their own shop for us to sit in. Cleaner and better.
Cheap and tasty kueh chiap. The place is always buzzing with people, but the service is quite fast. Finding a place to sit might pose a challenge if your party is larger than a group of three.
Knew this stall from a Taiwan TV programme, I have been looking forward to trying this. The soup tastes good indeed. Generous serving with duck meat, pork innards and an egg. The sauce is extremely good. Worth to give it a try!
Call out your order to the man assembling the food after browsing what you want. If unsure, order a bowl of mixed meats with a dollar amount.
You cannot go wrong unless you are squeamish about having to eat organ meats or something like that.
The broad slabs of rice noodle have an authentic, hand crafted springiness that is rare...

Generous servings. If you prefer a less carb diet, order the one without porridge or KwayChaps. Choose the porridge option for the KwayChaps were too thick as they are rolled.
