Good afternoon tea

There's a good atmosphere in the various zones of long narrow China House as you progress through it. People are clearly very comfortable and relaxed being here. Upstairs is an arty space and a few books, pictures, clothes and accessories are for sale. We had the 'afternoon tea set' for 28RM per... read more

I had high hopes for China House after hearing rave reviews and learning about the cool space it's in. However, we left feeling pretty disappointed in our dinner. We arrived when it wasn't too busy, but after an hour and 10 minutes, there was still no sign of our food and we hadn't heard anything from our waiter. After we... More

We came for sweet treats in the afternoon. The cake selection is incredible. There were at least 15-20 different varieties, all freshly baked/prepared. The milkshakes are also super good. Friendly staff, fun art work and bunch of cool spaces to explore, including a cool looking bar that wasn't open at lunchtime (but looked like it would be fun at night).

We really enjoyed our dinner here recently. The China House is located in a very, very long narrow building. We dined in the BTB section which involved walking through 4 or 5 other areas, from a bar/cantina at the front, to an outside patio, and various cafe style areas. It was pretty cool how it was laid out, with an... More

Had lunch here on our last day and wished we had visited earlier. It's not cheap but it has an amazing feel of history. Staff are very lovely and a trip the Georgetown without visiting China House would be an absolute shame. Make the effort to find this place you won't be disappointed. We will return

From a tip from a friend I went to celebrate my birthday with dessert from this establishment. The food was good but the service was awful. I felt like they forgot me and the people seating next to me.

Really liked this place. Very fascinating to walk around all the different areas inside. The cakes are exceptional. The bar at the back is great for live music too. Definitely worth a visit.

We love this place. We have rented an old townhouse in Armenian St so it is just round the corner and we are in most days.As you walk in the narrow cafe you just do not realise that it just goes on and on through various areas to eat and drink through to Canteen at the back where we are off...
