First time visiting this place and food is average in my opinion. A good change to the usual Penang hawker food but short of the authentic Nyonya flavour. It is a comfortable small size restaurant and great for a family get together.

The restaurant itself and the decor isn't much to look at, but definitely gives a cozy, home feeling. The waitresses there were friendly, but more like aunties rather than professionals, which added positively to the whole ambiance, at least for me. The dishes weren't fancy, but wow so delicious! I never had Nyonya cuisine before, but the interesting mix of... More

The food is so so... with limited dishes and seating place. The food is not as good as expected and the services are slow.

Maximum 4 parking spaces in front of restaurant otherwise road side parking (coupon require) can be inconvenient Small outlet perhaps 10 tables so booking is essential for large group . A number of restaurants in Malaysia (particularly in Penang, KL & Melaka) claim to serve authentic Nyonya cuisine. However it is getting increasingly difficult to find one that lives up to the claim, even if one is willing to fork out the $$$ for the relatively small (this is normal) portion sizes. It was therefore such a pleasure to discover... More

We're introduced to this Nyonya restaurant by our hotel and were not disappointed. The place was almost full on the Tuesday Nite we visited, and with many locals. We love the sesame oil chicken which was so delicious, we virtually emptied the whole dish including the ginger, simply sublime! The beef randang was good too. An alternative from the good... More

The food in Georgetown is great. It doesn't matter whether you go to have street food or eat in a restaurant, chances are you will not have a bad meal. But Mama's is special. The owner's granny's own antique Kebayas are framed and displayed on the walls. The recipes are family hand-me-downs. The food is just excellent. Tasty, satisfying and... More

The nonya spices used in every dish just stands out, making it very authentic. have read many reviews that this is overrated, but i must say, it is not. From a nonya food background, this is real good. the downside is that it is not very conducive to dine in here. other than that, its worth it.
