Genuinely very good Cantonese/Hong Kong-style Penang-influenced Chinese food; Interesting pricing scheme..!

Was on a "toursbylocals" tour, and was brought by our tour guide after mentioning we had a craving for some Hong Kong-style chinese food for lunch. At lunch time we were one of two tables with patrons (at around 12 noon). We ordered several dishes, including Scallops with Asparagus, Assam... read more

My DH really wanted a Chinese meal, so we searched and found May Garden by chance. Its not the most exciting from the outside, too many pictures stuck to the window, in plastic slips but the rain suddenly fell in torrents, so we took a chance and stepped in. We so pleased we did! This is not a glamorous restaurant,... More

For non-halal food lover, one should really try their pig belly soup and roasted pork, they are famous for it.

I should have know when there were just 3 other diners in this place at 8.30 pm. We were immediately served tea and a small plate of nuts while we looked at the menu and ordered a drink. It is rare for me not to find anything that I liked the look of but both my companion and I decided... More

We were here on a Chinese New Year Reception and had a 8 course dinner. The restaurant was packed and our first impression was: Chaotic, unorganized and loud. Somehow the staff managed to get the food on our table and it was pretty decent tasting, but not more.

This restaurant used to be packed to the brim. Then had a fall from grace due to neglect for a few years. It has since improved much. I come here on and off. I love the plate of mixed vegetables best. All dishes served here are generally good.

We love Chinese crispy noodles and were enticed into this restaurant by the photograph outside showing our favourite dish. Whilst what turned up was edible and (just) ok it bore no resemblance to the picture and the noodles were pretty submerged under a plateful of gloop. The waiter had difficulty carrying it without spilling. They pour you tea as soon... More

At about US$25 per head for a full 9-course dinner including a combination cold dish, sharks fin soup (I did NOT do the ordering as I don't do sharks fin), steamed snapper, whole suckling pig, this place is great value considering that Malaysia is no longer a cheap place for dining. Do not expect great ambience as this place is... More

It was my first visit to the restaurant together with my superiors and business associates. We let the restaurant management decide on the menu and we were surprised by their choices of dishes. They served us seafood kerabu and deep fried pastry with salted egg yolk as appetizer. Main dishes were - stir fry Iberico pork, thai style curry with... More
