Love Sweet and sour fish

A good chinese restaurant in Penang. Worth to try once if you are in penang. Fried fish in sweet and sour sauce is super... Only minor thing is too busy but understandable as everyone want delicious food..must go before dinner rush hour...

This place has lots of reviews thus a lot of people want to try it. I recommend you make a reservation in advance rather than walk-in. The good thing is you can make reservations online. It's worth a try as the menu is quite varied and the price is the usual restaurant rate. Staff is a little impatient as the... More

My family had thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. The dish looked not very appetizing, but once in your mouth, the taste of sweetness with cruchiness of the stir-fried Shio Bak (roasted pork belly) was just awesome. The rest of the dishes tasted just like home-cooked food, made us feel really at home. I loved their barley drink, well-boiled and just... More

We arrived early and found the restaurant actually opened before 6 pm. No trouble getting a table, but there were big queues outside by the time we had finished. We wanted to try one of the duck dishes, but the only one available was with dried oysters, which we didn't like the sound of. We chose the deep fried chicken... More

On this trip to Penang we went to this restaurant twice. Nothing to look at from the outside or the inside, this is a bustling restaurant full of locals where you may have to queue. We especially like the twice cooked pork and the fish in soy sauce. Definitely one to visit

We were here by Feb 2015. We ordered steam fish, fried squid and black vinegar trotters. The fish is fresh, so as squid. The trotters are delicious too. We were very satisfied with the food quality. The location is easy to find if follow GPS. The price is reasonable. We are planning to try their famous dishes ie. Curry fish... More

I have been to Tek Sen since 1984 when it was still a zinc shed with a handful of staff including the boss and wife. The shed was always full, be it day or night. A few years ago they moved to a nearby 2 units of double storey shop houses with air-conditions, improved hygiene and a large kitchen. Even the... More

Amazing. Sweet and sour chicken was so good... And then the chicken with turmeric and chili blew me away. Waited a few minutes for a table. Worth waiting for.
