We were so looking forward to our meal as we had eaten there before. Unfortunately it turned out to be easily one of the worst dinners we had this week. The standard and quality of the dishes were very average. We felt that the restaurant is resting on its laurels and its attitude is not going to change as the... More

You should have this included as one of your meals ---- lunch or dinner. Their double cooked pork dishes are really to die for ---- really as good as anything we tasted in Georgetown. YMMMM. If you speak English, look for Sally Key to help you as a server. She was very nice and friendly. This is an open air... More

Great Chinese food, very popular with locals and tourists. The prices are quite reasonable for the value of the food. Worth a splurge if you are on a budget!

Nice old traditional Chinese coffee shop serving home cooked style food. Ambience is very good and service prompt but for me the food was nothing special.

With friends, we returned to the new eatery after two years, and we were very disappointed! Food was average and service was ok. Arrived during lunch and it was now filled with non locals. We only saw two tables with locals. We ordered their specials and after tasting the food, we were shocked, the pork was too sweet and it... More

Yes you have to line up in the heat....... because the food is yummy. They have good service here so things move quickly. The food was amazing. We went with the waiter's suggestions and it was amazing, chicken in sweet and sour plum sauce i think. We made a special trip back to George Town just to eat here again... More

Having been in Malaysia for nearly three weeks it seems to us that the best food available is in the street vendors who sell only one or two dishes and have been preparing that single dish for many many years. Restaurants, generally seem over priced and and less accomplished by comparison. The one exception to that rule is Tek Sen... More

While in Penang you have to try the dishes that local Penang eat daily on their mail table. This is one of the restaurant that provide this kind of food. Make sure you go early otherwise need to wait specially on week end.

Always a line at Tek Sen. I ' ll understand why! The food is really value for money and tasty. Succulent porkbelly with yam, nice veggies and homemade tofu. Only thing that's missing is perhaps a winelist. But Good wine is always hard to find in Malaysia.

Joined the line and we were not disappointed. Shared a table as this place is busy. Got excited and ordered way too much food. Even though the place is busy, the service is fast and the hostess was very friendly. The fried rice is good, the plum chicken was tasty, (i had hoped to order the double roasted pork but... More
