Fast Service and some good dishes

Dragon-i in Gurney Plaza has a long queue at lunch and dinner time so go early if you are not prepared to wait. The ambience is alright, similar to other upmarket Chinese restaurants. Service here is fast and once the orders are taken it takes about 15-20 minutes for the food to arrive. It can be a... read more

This restaurant is one of the best chinese restaurants Ive ever eaten in and this includes in China. The food was fresh and plentiful. a really good price considering it is in a major shopping mall Gurney Plaza. Will go back on the next trip to Penang.

We have been looking forward to eating at this place since its recent opening at Gurney Plaza. We won't be returning. The food was only so-so. We had a hot and sour soup that was tasty, though overly gummy. The Shanghai dumplings were totally soggy and fell apart when removing from the steamer. The Szechuan chicken was probably the best... Sui long bau are excellent, this was the restaurant we reviewed in Gurney Plaza and I did not know the name. If you like Chinese food at a very reasonable price and of excellent quality this is the place - no need to comment further, just give it a go. I did get busy when we were there with many... More

and the Dragon-I, but not the last! The ambience is very nice and tasteful decorated. The Chinaware white and some flower plates. You eat also with your eyes!! The food was very good and remains me of Hong Kong style. The service is fast and professional. Not very friendly. The tea is a bit expensive and no need to take... More

Topping my list would be their xiao long bao. Could never had enough of it My family loves and enjoyed their fried chicken too (not sure what its called, its a deep fried spicy chicken cut in small pieces like chicken-popcorn) Their tea and services were also worth mentioning.

A nice ambiance Chinese restaurant, famous for its juicy fillings xiao long pau. Not only that, their hand made La Mian is awesomely good too. They have branches in Queensbay & Gurney, both of the outlets will always have crowd lining up during lunch & dinner hours. Do go early to get the freshest xiao long pau!

Xiao Long Pao, and the fresh hand made mee is a must ~~ Although they have a few branches around penang island, 1 in Queensbay and another in Gurney Plaza, but they both will always get crowd lining up as usual during lunch hours. So if you wanna try the xiao long bao, go at 11 am.

This restaurant, in Gurney Plaza, 2nd floor, used to be on the ground floor, at the back, with the kitchen out of sight. Now the kitchen is part of the experience, glass to watch the chefs, and the northern chinese cuisine, leaning heavily on Sechuan, is as good as any you'll get in Hong Kong. Very stylish decor, tables pleasantly... More

A chinese restaurant with a nice ambiance. I especially like their "parn" noodles served in a Szechuan style savoury and spicy broth, and also the egg yolk buns filled with a liquefied mixture of salted and regular egg yolks. It's amusing to see the buns "explode" when people who have not tried it before bite into them. You need to... More
