Quality vegan/vegetarian food with real indian tastes. The lassie is simply tasty and there are many different dishes you can try and share. Take your time to have lunch over here, it's worth it!

This is known for tasty paper roast dosai and its sambar. Best place for south Indian Food. Even North Indian foods Nan and Fried rice are very good. If you are from India, you will love the fried rice here as most of the other Indian restaurants in Penang serve only Nasi Goreng(Malaysian Fried Rice). The Rice in the south... More

I had the fried mushrooms and the naan style bread with the mint pressed in it (begins with a 'p'). It was pretty good. I heard from other travelers that it was the place to get good vegetarian meals at reasonable prices. I took off one star because the waiter did not put my order in right away. Another much... More

We went a bit late in the morning on our first visit. We had wanted dosais, but by that time of the day, dosais were finished. They have a very strict schedule of when certain foods are served. So we came back again on another day and actually had lunch dishes instead of dosais. The restaurant is old-style Indian, nice... More

We had breakfast here and it was awesome. The idlies were very soft, pooris soft and fluffy, rava dosa crispy, sambhar vada bursting with flavour and oothappam soft, rich with ghee. The onion sambhar can be drank by itself. Not to forgot the chutneys which complimented the dosa and idly very well. The madras filter coffee was a heavenly treat... More

Food was ok. Took ages for food to come, people that came in after us got food before we did. When food did arrive they forgot some of it. Even though there must of been 8 waiter stood around didn't get asked if we wanted another drink. There are better places to eat with much better service, give this one... More

The food came late, and it was average. The paneer dishes were watery with just 4 or 5 pieces of cheese inside. The pudina Naans were dry and half baked. After 45 minutes, they chased us out saying that other customers needed the seats. Its was rather rude and unprofessional. We just paid and left. If you came to relax... More

Situated in the heart of little India, this restaurant offers traditional vegetarian south indian food experience. This restaurant is popular with the locals. The food is mouth watering and you must try the poori , lunchtime thali set and upma. The restaurant is family friendly. Staff are courteous and helpful. One of the few restaurants here with air conditioner.
