If you looking for an old school fix for chicken rice, Kek Seng Cafe is a place that you do not want to miss. Consistent quality with generous portion. The loh bak next to chicken rice stall is a 'must order' too..

Went here for Ais Kaching - was quite good, liked the additional touches of the jelly cake. Was a little watery - could have done with more toppings.

We just returned from Penang on 16 Nov. Went to Kek Seng Restaurant for lunch on Thursday with 3 other friends. We ate Kway Teow soup, Prawn noodle soup, durian ice cream. My friend commented that the stall was dirty and the cook was filthy. Since it was recommended by our driver, we took the challenge. All of us were... More

Dining here reminds me of my childhood days as I grow up going to this place every now and then. Everything sold here is good with a fusion of local Chinese/Malay/Indian food all in one old small coffee shop. Looks from the outset may be deceiving, but you will be surprised at the amount of business they rake in during... More

The point of coming here is having the superb asam laksa and also hokkien mee (known as prawn noodles in KL). The taste is so authentic, you'll love it even in the packed little restaurant. It is priced at rm 3.50 per bowl and it will prolly take two bowls to properly fill up a person. Anyway, there is also... More

I found the durian ice cream very nice but the accompanying ice kachang is a let down. I then ordered an additional serving of only the durian ice cream and enjoyed that much better. Contrary to many reviews here, there is no chendol to be found in Kek Seng. The chicken rice and roast pork in the same cafe is... More

Durian ice cream with ais kacang is the best. Also order laksa and curry mee, is tasty, authentic. Even the popiah is fresh. A bit hot cause sit beside the window at noon. Parking is available behind.

There are several choices of food to eat here such as the assam laksa, char koay teow, koay teow thng, popiah, pie tee, chicken rice, etc. For dessert you can have the famous durian ice-cream with ais kacang complete with corn, red beans and three-layered jelly. This coffee shop is quite clean but I was surprised to see a rat... More
