Used to be the best

Foo San used to be the best place for dim sum in ipoh many years back. That was when they were still occupying the old building near to the Funny Mountain tau fu fah. The old place oozed with nostalgic elegance of the 50s and the food as far as I remember was one of the best in those time.... read more

First thing in our mind whenever we are in Ipoh or pass by Ipoh, we will definitely drop by at Foh San restaurant for breakfast or brunch. Since it moved to a bigger place, the service has dropped tremendously. This could be due to lack of staffs for such a huge restaurant. The food quality has dropped tremendously as well.... More

This place used to serve good dim sum, but lately it's quality of food served have taken a dive. My thoughts are it has commercialize its dim sum to a level where it's no longer able to maintain its previous standards. You rarely see locals patronizing this restaurant. There are better dim sum restaurants in Ipoh if you know where... More

One of the must eateries when in Ipoh. Good variety and very tasty with reasonable pricing. Only snag is the confusion that reigns in getting a table on the weekends. They should have a proper system for queuing up instead of hanging around tables.

took a 2-hr train from KL to Ipoh to try Ipoh's dimsum, and no regret we visited Foh San. It's a relaxing place in the middle of the city. The food are so tempting! Left the place bloated.

We has a great breakfast here. They bring around little trolleys with some of the dim sum. You also line up to get them as well. The dim sum was delicious. Enjoyed the atmosphere of this huge and very busy restaurant. If you found the review useful please let me know.

Dim sum prepared in the traditional style. The atmosphere is conducive for elderly and young children. Personally, their Har Gau (prawn dumpling), Yee Mai (fish paste ball) and the steamed yam cake top my preferences.

Food was good, the enviroment is well decorated and the lady who work at the front counter was so helpful. The price was ok not so expensive. First look from outside you would expect it to be very expensive but in actual fact it was not.
