Servers have a very take it or leave it attitude. Not a pleasant experience considering there are other dim sum places that are just as tasty with helpful, courteous staff and reasonable prices.

Foo San is one of the oldest Dim Sum restaurant operator in Ipoh. In their old premis near the main market, all dishes used to be made fresh on premis. Now a lot of the dishes are factory made out side only very few dishes are freshly made at site. The new site is a lot grander and bigger. During... More

The dim sum is nice and the przing is on the steep end compare to outher dim sum outlets. Besides the normal steam pork & chicken bun, steam pork ribs, lotus paste bun, prawns etc, it has various fried foods such as deep friend prawns, various types of "yong tau foo". Overall, I still like the dim sum in Ding... More

reached on a week day morning about 7 am. Not much crowds as I read on others reviews. Not much of variety compare to others dim sum rstn globally. Food is ok but nothing to shout about. For certain varieties of dim sum, you need to go their counter, sometime queue up to get it, which is very weird. Tradition... More

A place where friendly ladies serving dim sum in the old Foo San Restaurant has changed. It is quite costly to eat dim sum at Foo San. The dim sum is still very tasty and delicious. Recommend for good food here.

Think the standard of the food has dropped, more of machine generated products. Hardly patronize the outlet now, difficult to find a car parking space and the fee for parking is high. There are many other dim sum outlets in Ipoh nowadays, comparable, great variety like Chui Yuet Lau in Ipoh Garden south and another one opposite Giant supermarket in... More

Go early or long wait for tables. Nice ambience and varieties of Dim Sum. Only setback is the senior citizens begging for donations along the corridors.
