Not so good

Last time, they will push the cart around and it's ready to be eaten. Now, you will have to select the dim sum first then they will steam for you. I don't really fancy the current system. Taste wise, it's really nothing extraordinary. The only thing I like is the environment.

Not from Ipoh, but have visited Ipoh on several occasions and tried both Foo San and Ming Court. Personally, I prefer Ming Court cause it feels more 'traditional' with their metal dim sum steamers. Visited Foo San on Sunday morning, and realised that its now self-service. It's good in a way because you wouldnt need to wait ages like back... More

We arrived in Ipoh at 12 noon by train from KL, by 1pm we were seated in Foh San eating really nice treats. Normally my in law parents would avoid this eatery due to the crowds and unruly service provided. I had not been back to Ipoh for 4 years so father wanted to take me somewhere different and one... First time here with family. Heard from friends that the dim sum here is a must try if you are in Ipoh. Varieties mouth watering dim sum. Definitely will be back some other times.

Coming from KL, the dim sum here is really good & well priced. I know people complain about poor service etc but it was not so bad considering the crowd. I like that we can go get our own dim sum - which is faster than waiting for the carts to come by your table. The restaurant has a nice... More

Due to the lack of system in this restaurant, it makes eating in this place 'stressful'. Firstly, there is no first come first serve basis. You just have to look for a place on your own. You just can't imagine, a restaurant this size with such capacity do not have a basic system to seat it guests. People just literally... More

On the up side the restaurant is clean, has a tasteful interior and quite is big however even being a sizable building it is in no way big enough to accommodate the huge crowds of people who stand around looking for a table. There is no order of seating and families will go to the extent of standing behind you... More

The restaurant is clean and big, each morning it was so crowded. Their shrimp dumpling and big fish ball is yummy. The negative points are waitress always showing black face and you have to queue at the dim sum counters to get your dim sum.

First thing in our mind whenever we are in Ipoh or pass by Ipoh, we will definitely drop by at Foh San restaurant for breakfast or brunch. Since it moved to a bigger place, the service has dropped tremendously. This could be due to lack of staffs for such a huge restaurant. The food quality has dropped tremendously as well.... More
