Ipoh does not lack great dim sum places to dine in but somehow, Foh San attracts a lot of tourists because of its renovated 'old-world' setting making it a must-go for visitors. I grew up in Ipoh where the original 'old-world' Foh San was at Jalan Osbourne. They have dispensed with the old-fashioned push-carts in favour of a combination of... More

This is one of the oldest dim sum restaurant in Ipoh, located at new town area. It's not bad but not my first choice. It's usually very crowded as they are open very early in the morning. They serve a huge variety of choices. Restaurant is nicely furnished and big.

We would usually visit this place when we are in Ipoh. The dim sum is still as fresh and traditional but it is not hot enough when served. This is a self service restaurant where you will need to find your own table, wait for the waitress to give you a dim sum card and get your own dim sum.... More

The dim sum is more pricey compare to nearby dim sum restaurant. But just slightly. However, their choices are more. Taste is good too. There have many tables, need not to wait too long.

But you pay for the ambience as well. It has good sitting housed in old style building, variety of good tasting dim-sums and hot tea..... all that you need for a good meal with your family. And yes, you have to walk up and choose your dim-sums yourself. The dim-sum do not come to you! May not be the best... More
