This restaurant was recommended by a friend who lives in Ipoh and it didn't disappoint. The seafood served were all fresh including the fish, prawn and crab dishes. What I like most is that the food was prepared to my taste without being overly oily.

I often frequent this restaurant during my stay in Ipoh at the French Hotel. Food is good and a good variety of seafood and cantonese dishes to choose from. You could choose to takeaway if there are no seats available especially during dinner. To avoid the crowds , please visit before 12.30pm(lunch) and before 6.30pm(dinner) if you would like to... More

I like the portion but personally find the food so so only. Will return in Aug to sample the food again on its Ala crate menu.

Public seafood rest has few branches in Ipoh/Menglembu, been around for abt 30 years. This one in town is of higher standard, often crowded during weekends. i often opt for weekdays, no rush and most orders are still available. Dinner for 6 persons with recommended dishes, without 'live' seafood comes to around MYR200 only. Worth a try if you had... More

Brother and sister in law had a small wedding dinner. Excellent food as usual, great value These restaurants don't roll you over with service. But the captain gives great recommendations and will always cater to your budget. Loyalty will also be rewarded.

Especially like the "char siew source with pork" and the "Pomfret fish cook with 2 style steam and fried". Must also try their seafood in claypot..really worth the RM80.00 for the portion and fresh ingredients given..Thumbs up The whole restaurant... More

my family enjoyed this dish tremendously: the braised lamb is baked inside of the bread bun. the bread and lamb were an incredible pairing.

The decoration of the restaurant is very traditional. Food is reasonably priced and delicious. Dishes are well presented in that it is just not scooped out of a big pot and dumped on a plate or bowl. I recommend the prawns which is cooked perfectly and the vegetables coated with garlic is excellent.

This restaurant serves the freshest seafood in Ipoh. Most of its dishes are cooked to perfection. At weekends it's near impossible to get a table so do pre book if you want to be sure!

Enjoying my dinner gathering with group of friends for wedding occasion, reunion with friends, retirement dinner and family dinner. The price is is reasonable and the serving is big too. Celebrated my 50th birthday lunch with family member.
