Nice ambience and on saturday, many people did booking of table beforehand. Went with 4. Ordered garoupa slices, white chicken, a vege and minced pork tofu. Taste of vege, minced pork tofu and garoupa within expectation. Then came the chicken which is one huge plate that seems to be steamed chicken. The texture is that of kampong chicken. The soup... I attended my friend's wedding and the food served was superb tasty. The portion is big. I wish I can take away those food. But as understanding from friend, it is quite pricey. But for me I felt worth. You can hardly taste this type of food in Penang with this price.

We had lunch here when we visited Ipoh as they had a good reputation for serving delicious food. It clearly is a popular restaurant, judging by the number of tables in a large restaurant which were filled with families and friends. Among the dishes we ordered were pan fried cod fish with a bit of soy-based sauce, Stir-fried lotus root... More

The known place for the local with variety of chinese food. There are few branches for this Rest but I still prefer the one at this location as the chef is the founder place. The price here is fair and value for the food served.

We went here but just two of us and the place is set up for the big family dinner with huge portions. After waiting a while we ordered buttered prawns and codfish with sweet and sour pork and vegetables. Ineradicable quality and great prices (100 MYR). If we had a bigger group we wuld have had one of the many... More

This and not the other places in Ipoh, should be the #1 restaurant in Ipoh. Fantastic value too. Whether it is shark's fin, abalone, fish maw, sea cucumber, fresh fish, or just a simple pork and chicken with noodles. During the holidays you get people driving from as far as Singapore to come here so make sure you call ahead... More

Either dine before 6.30pm or make a reservation. I love their signature prawns, but the other dishes were not up to my expectations (a crowded restaurant in food haven Ipoh must be held to different standards). The ginger chicken loses out to Soup Restaurant back home in Singapore. The meat was tough! Vegetable dishes were okay, but didn't impress.

We ordered sweet sour prawns, pork ribs, kai lan with mushrooms for dinner for 3 adults. Total bill was about RM98. We wanted to try their steamed fish, but they only had fish weighing 1kg minimum available which was too much for 3 persons. Servings of food were too much for us, but food was good and service was excellent.

If you have time to slot in a restaurant (besides the hawker fare, coffee shops and roadside stalls), this is one that you must visit. The restuarant was full on a Tuesday that we visited, luckily we made reservations before arriving. Waitress was helpful over the phone, she gave her name and told us to look for her when we...
