Good food!

All dishes ordered tasted good. However they did not have any fish and crab dishes that day. We didnt have to wait too long for our order to arrive. The waitress was very patient - in taking the orders and explaining whenever necessary. Thought slightly pricy, it was worth it. We ordered pork... read more

Service staff were excellent. It was a busy night but we were well taken care of even though there's only 3 of us (2 adults 1 child) when most tables were at least 10 or more! Seems like a really popular restaurant and was expecting to find something special but left slightlu disappointed. Maybe it is difficult to order the... More

Chilli crab to die for! Called kung poh crab! Hugh prawns that you have to shell.Might have to reserve crabs and prawns so make a resevation! Good for family occasions or get togethers.Try to avoid wedding function days as it can get noisy with lots of toasting!Order specialty dishes and you cannot go wrong .

Its crab sharks fin (Gui hua ci) is so memorable and I have recommended friends who gave rave reviews. Best to book in advance too, in case of wedding dinner .

We arrived early so only a few tables there already. Staff seemed quite friendly. Attentive too - when we were looking about for somewhere to hang bags staff immediately brought a chair to place them. Even when it got busy the service remained sharp. Ordered butter king prawns and crab. Server immediately returned to table to inform no king prawns... More

Ginger chicken , steam and stir fried cod fish , yam with pork , famous taufu etc their best dishes . Consider expensive dining Chinese food restaurant , but if you manage to order few delicious dishes which suits your taste that's worth . Especially when order fish , try what you wish and need not take what the captain... More

Had a meal with friends from Penang. Always advisable to book in advance and place your order as well. This is the 3rd time with the same group of friends and the food is still as good. The taufoo - must order in advance, must try. Tried to place a second order but sold out.

There are 2 similar name restaurants (Pasir Putih is his brother). River prawn is highly recommended. Went there on Tuesday at around 8PM and found very quiet from outside, but FULL house with hundreds of people !!

Forget about ambience in this busy restaurant. Food is the focus. My 2nd visit in 3 months. We prefer lunch as it is usually less crowded compared to dinner. Our favorites are steamed beadcurd with fish paste, Kailan with yam, fried big headprawns, ginger chicken, braised giant grouper with garlic, stewed 3 layer pork slices with yam and lotus root.... This is an absolute gem in Ipoh. Great for old school, unpretentious Cantonese fare. We came here for lunch on 26 Dec 2015 after battling the other out-of-towner's nearby the city centre. Ordered 4 dishes and they were excellent. Waitress was knowledgeable and recommended a few dishes. Best of all, this establishment still employs local staff who can speak Cantonese.... More
