Overall the comment and reviews that i have read regarding this restaurant food is good or very good. So I have very high expectation that it will be very delicious. Unfortunately, out of my expectation. Not nice. The chicken meat is hard and the rice too. I was thinking that maybe that was the taste of LOCAL people?

Business was too good, nothing special about the chicken, just a namesake. The bean sprouts do taste different but you can find the same sprouts at any other noodle stalls in Ipoh. Avoid dinner crowds, lunch is ok if you want to enjoy your meal without other customers waiting for your seats. I suggest your try other dishes in Ipoh... More

We heard so much about the Bean Sprout Chicken only to discover that it is over rated The chicken meat was tough - perhaps we should have avoided the white meat. There was nothing spectacular about the bean sprouts.

The food is not prepared with passion, neither with charisma or a heart to present the best dishes to paying customers. Loh Wong Bean Sprout Chicken relies heavily on its brand, which many has termed and associated it to the greatest bean sprout with chicken. However, the reality kicks in when one tasted the food at this restaurant. It is... More

49 Jln Yau Tet Shin 30300 Ipoh. Blanch the sprouts, add oil, soy sauce, chili & spring onions. The sprouts were thick and fresh. Chicken was also blanched and a little thin. Come for the sprouts and beef balls. Ringgit46 for half chicken, platter of sprouts, bowl of beef balls, 3 plates of rice & 2 plates of rice noodles... More

Let me first say that this place is overrated as the No 1 restaurant in Ipoh because its now run by foreigners and the taste has deteriorated to a certain extent. The shop opposite called Onn Kee serves food that tastes better to me. The food not bad but not as good as it used to be.

We had a family dinner at this very famous white boiled chicken in Ipoh. We preferred to sit outside the restaurant because it is more cooling. The chicken served is not very smooth as what it should be, Fat and short bean sprout are served. Good and crunchy with nice thin soy sauce. We ordered the pork meat ball too.... More

Overrated place for bean sprout chicken. Expensive as well and the chickens are usually tough. The saving grace is the koay teow is pretty good but honestly there are way better ones and if you are going for chicken with the koay teow, cowan street is much better.
