Chicken rice & bean sprouts

Visited the outlet at Chinatown Point in Singapore today for lunch and tried the chicken rice & bean sprouts set. Essentially a self-service model where the order is placed at the cashier and then you pick it up at the counter once it is ready. Food was tasty enough, but seemed to take quite a... read more

Had a "solo" dinner. Ordered 1 chicken drumstick and wing (obviously steamed), 1 bowl noodle (soup), 1 plate of bean sprouts, and 1 glass of ice Chinese herbal tea. Did not order the meat balls because will be too much for me. Price was only RM15.00 (around USD 4). Yummy, yummy, yummy ........ had the same the next day too... More

Buzzing and busy when we visited on a Saturday night, we were seated quickly, we ordered and were served with ease, and thoroughly enjoyed our chicken, bean sprouts and rice. It pays to do one thing well, and Lou Wong does that brilliantly. The pedestrianised streets at this time give the area a really relaxed feel and sitting outside we... More

A delicious healthy meal awaits you at Lou Wong. You can have rice or soupy noodles with the chicken. We had boneless chicken which was value for money and easy to eat for the children. The bean sprouts are crispy and add vue to the food. This place is good value for your money! Service was excellent and parking was... More

This restaurant has a huge reputation.... is it deserved? Probably not. It's good, and tastes how it should. But is it better than anyone else's chicken rice? Probably not. It's about the same. To be honest chicken is chicken, and bean sprouts are bean sprouts. Not much you can get wrong. Yes there chilli sauce is nice, but really it's... More

I have always enjoyed their delicate koay teow and the tasty clear soup that comes with it and not forgetting the succulent chicken with the crunchy bean sprouts! So when my husband and I were on our visit home to Penang, we purposely drove the highway to Ipoh just to have their Bean Sprouts Chicken (Nya Choi Kai) for lunch.... More

Very tasty and juicy chicken with crispy bean sprouts. Enjoy it with either rice or koay teow soup. The mix meat ball and fish ball soup was good as well. If you want extra chilli, it is self service due to the constant crowd. To get a table, also be prepared to stand nearby a finishing group and "swoop in... More
