Chicken rice bean sprouts

Well, since Ipoh is famous for its bean sprouts and chicken, one has to stop and try here right? The difference is not with the chicken but its with the fatter and shorter version of the bean sprouts served in Ipoh. Eating chicken, bean sprouts and "hor fun" together seems a good combination too... read more

To our surprise we had our order taken….. and within minutes; we had the famous poached chicken, bean sprout, Chee yoke yin (pork balls) and the silky smooth Koey Teow (Flat rice noodles) on our table… definitely worthwhile even thought we had to wait for some time to get a table during the peak hour! The prices were quite reasonable;... More

It's little tricky to review simple traditional dishes. The main ingredients used for the chicken and bean sprout are merely soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, spring onions, coriander and red chilly. Thus one should not expect a totally out of this world experience out of these simple ingredients. Having said that I would still rate Lou Wong and Ong... More

Avoid public holidays. Too crowded and too much long wait. Price comparatively attractive than those in KL. Give a try if no crowd. Not worth the long wait though.

Best Bean sprout and Chicken rice. What you got to know in Ipoh is there are 2 main Best Bean Sprout Chicken Rice. Lou Wong and Onn Kee Both are equally good. But Onn Kee always 1st to sold out during week ends and public holiday. So I suggest is go there before 6pm where even if you wait for... More

We were lucky to get a table when we reached at 6pm on a public holiday. We ordered the famous white chicken and bean sprout. The food came fast. The bean sprout was fat and crunchy ..... really yummy. The white chicken was perfect .....meat was tender and flavourful. The restaurant ran like a clock work with the staff being... More

Very rude services and very disorganized !! Why can't just take the orders and satisfy everyone!!!! Stupid and crappie place!!! Not even... More

Ipoh is famous for its bean sprout chicken so we decided to give it a try. It was a toss-up between Lou Wong or the restaurant opposite it. In the end we decided on Lou Wong. It was quite busy but service was brisk with many staff in the restaurant. We ordered a plate of steamed chicken, bean sprouts and... More

Amazing this place only serves 2 dishes, chicken (mild) and bean sprout salad (delicious) and they are busy all the time. You can pick rice or noodles on the side. The rice was almost cold and dry, the noodles came in a tasty broth and looked and tasted better. Good lunch place to stop at.

I always eat here if I have the chance whenever I visit Ipoh, nice soft Hor fun with deliciously prepared chicken in soya sauce, a must try along with the famous Ipoh bean sprouts, yummy! 2 bowls of noodles at least.
