Perhaps it was during Ramadan, but we didn't understand why food was being brought out to tables that had NO guests while we were kept waiting a very long time for our food. The grilled stingray and squid were nice -- on the spicy-hot side -- the vegetable dishes were small and nothing special.

There's a few Ana Ikan Bakar Restaurants branches around. But the best one is the one near the junction oppsite the beach. You can try anything like ikan, ketam, sotong etc and everything is good. Make sure to ask them to put stinky bean inside. I can say this is the best seafood restaurant around here.

You choose your fish, weigh it, and tell them how to cook it. Highly recommend you have it BBQed with 'stink beans' (petai). The man weighing the fish tried to pull a fast one but I noticed that the fish was RM6/100g and not RM9. Came up to RM30 for the whole fish. Ordered a huge 1.5l mug of fresh... More

I don't understand what is all the fuss is about here. It is always full of people. The food is ok and not great. Service was slow and the food was pricey. Not recommended.

Went to Tanjung Lumpur to have ikan bakar and looked for the most busy restaurant. Ana Ikan Bakar obviously the one. I am quite aprehensive eating ikan bakar with petai...but surprisingly it was good. Also had the sotong goreng tepung....which was excellent too..... Will definately go back for more grilled sea food.

1- Dirty. Ordered a jug of ice lemon tea, poured into glasses only to realize a layer of oil floating on the surface... which tastes like puke. Hence the whole jug was untouched. 2 - SLOWWWWWWW service. I DO Understand that it was a public holiday, however still waited for an hour plus for the food. Food was served in... More

The hygiene could be better. Flies on fresh fish which laid out on ice and stray cats. But the ikan Bakar (grilled fish) is very good. The fried squid is also good. You need to like your food spicy! Very busy and popular with locals. Average price and depends on fish selected.

Cleanliness - The restaurant is dirty. Dirty plates is at the eating area and the waiter barely to clean up the floor and to wipe the tables. Food - Food is not good and the taste could have been cooked better. I've tried the following: 1. Udang goreng telur masin - Rating:3/5 2. Ikan merah masak 3 rasa - Rating:... More

The local fish tastes better than the popular barramundi (siakap). Ask the staff for tasty local fishes. Usually priced less than the popular fishes.
