We went there to have tea & scorn and we did not regret it. Although we did not stay in the hotel, we will make it a point to stay there the next time. I love the environment, beautiful gardens and it is really a great place for tea. Price is a bit on the higher side for those who... More

This place looks and feels as if it has been air-lifted from the stockbroker belt around London (where I lived for a few years). The décor has a wonderfully authentic feel, and the staff are perfect down to their uniforms and their attitudes. The gardens are charming, and the place reeks of money. I dropped by for lunch in the... More

Came for the beautiful gardens and to have lunch. We were served by a chilly and standoffish waitress who seated us in the parlour where we were given the menu to study. Upon taking our order, we were shown to our tables. We ordered salads, a soup and juices. The bill came to over RM300 for the 4 of us.... More

Never have I, nor my two friends who visited the Smokehouse for an evening pot of tea with me, been treated with such degrading manners as those which we received from this establishment. Upon arrival we were met with more of a stern and inquiring welcome from the head waiter than one ought to get when going to spent money... More

The setting simply idyllic. An English country house in the middle of Malaysia, complete with horse brasses, roaring fire, George Formby plaing in the background and a garden rich in flora and fauna. The food was excellent, but be warned, come hungry. The soups were a great starter, but the beef Wellington was simply outstanding. I'd recommend this restaurant to... More

Quite okay. Though is isn't my favourite compared to Malaysian delicacies like 'kuih kasturi', 'keropok lekor' or 'cempedak and pisang goreng'.

been there just to look around the house. had hot choco for tea-time. RM30/2 pax..not quite reasonable. but it was the real hot chocolate not milo or cheap choco drink anyway. the waiter always around and made us kind of uncomfortable because i want to explore more about the places. they always around and 'spying' on us..ughhh..leave us alone!!it's not... Had lunch here, for 2 with diet cokes. Both had Fillet Steak with pepper corn sauce. Came with bread, fries and vegetables. All food was cooked beautifully. One steak was medium rare, the other medium, both were perfect. Both steaks were tender and fell away as though they had been hung properly. Amazing taste! Expensive luxury in an unusual English-esque... More

The food is ok but you wouldn't expect to spend RM220 for 4 person for afternoon tea in Pahang. Not even 5 star hotel standard but having said that, the service is ok and the place is decent (though not great). A place that you need to be done and over with. And I am done and over with this... Quaint and pretty little pub/tea house. Service could be better though - really pretty place but let down by service a little.
