Lovely old English Tudor style building - we had 'high tea' on a misty afternoon - beautilly baked scones and a range of teas from which to choose. Hotel surround by a nice garden. it made a nice break on our afternoon drive!

This a nice experience. The ambience of the restaurant is complimented by the very helpful and attentive waiters who made our two visits (in 3 x nights) there memorable. My wife and I enjoyed some excellent steak there and beef wellington - accompanied by good wines. Overall the cost was reasonable and I would recommend it for a special occasion.

We stopped in at lunch time and the hotel was very accommodating. We were able to order from both the high tea menu and regular menu. We were stuck because of rain and the hotel was kind enough to lend us a pack of cards and helped us to ring our hotel for pick up
