Maybe because it is Ramadan, or maybe because of the threatening rain, but there was very limited food available and for a very limited time. They started selling at 7.30pm (for Ramadan) and not much available at 8.30 as they were closing up.

It has hustle and bustle, lots of food stalls. But they sell the same as all the night markets, and it's overpriced for the tourist. No prices marked which indicates the tourist pays much more so you have to be on your guard and prepared to walk away if it feels too expensive. But good entertainment for a few hours.

What a colorful exotic experience this was , the ladies were out with their menfolk dressed in their beautiful clothes , children well behaved and laughter everywhere . The food was an experience to die for , I had never seen such an array of beautifully presented food on display , the eating was an even greater pleasure , I... More

Nice atmosphere, especially during holidays and weekends. Good choice of curries, fish, desserts, nasi goreng and noodle dishes. It is mainly take-away, but the vendors at the side don't matter that you bring your outside food as long as you drink something. Bring your own spoon if you are not used to eating with your hands. definitely try the stall... More

If fake football tops and dvd's are your thing then you'll have a better time here than I did, even the food stalls which took a while to locate were not appealing after walking through some of the dirtiest rat and cockroach infested littered streets in Malaysia.

Great food stalls that are very cheap and tasty. Drinks available, quick service. Was a bit difficult to find but was well worth the wandering to find

Like most people, we stayed in Kota Bharu as a transit point for Perhentain Island. Kota Bharu town itself is very close to the border with Thailand. It is not highly recommended that you cross the border at this point due to some issues on the Thai side. It has a few signs in Arabic which was a bit of... More

The Wakaf Che Yeh night market is opening till mid night. You can find imitation clothing, shoe, bag and perfume at here just similar at KL petaling street. Local food and snack can be find on this night market too. Don't missing out triangle dodol and akok.

Spent a night there while stay over for Perhentian Island the next day. Not many selection on food and not many kiosks to see. The too traditional Malaysian taste are not very attractive to me. Bought some fried noodles, banana pancakes, the tastes were good. But the drink, which said was a carrot apple juice, was just water with color... More

Not the biggest night market. Just spent about 30 minutes there and the rain came. I saw many locals . I wanted 4 roasted chicken wings but they were sold out so I bought 4 roasted chicken fillet instead. Nice. Its RM2. Different types of Murtabak was also available. Tasted just average but you cannot complain as its considered cheap.... More
