Good bar in beautiful spot with excellent paella

We ate here twice while staying at the Danna hotel in January, once for tapas and once for paella. Some of the tapas were very good and some were only average, but the paella was spectacular and surprisingly authentic. I had a beef rending which I was happy with, but my wife had a Spanish omelette which was very ordinary. It had clearly been pre-made and then been whacked in the microwave.

We went for late drinks and the staff were just stoney faced and rude. We asked for cocktails and were then told that all cocktails bar two were unavailable! How does that work in a cocktail bar. Anyway the margarita we did order tasted as though its came from premade bottle. We were assured it wasn't but it tasted horrid.... More

If you like tasty food and a nice drink check it out. We're seafood lover and our intention was to get on the other corner in a seafood restaurant. But that place didn't look so good. By searching the marina promenade we have seen "Tapaz". The staff there is very friendly and the place lovely. First time there we had... More

Enjoyed icy cold Heinekes two for the price of one, great setting beside the water looking over at the yachts on the marina. Marinated Squid and seafood hotpot - very delicious. Reasonable speed WiFi an added bonus. - Chris will be back tomorrow while I have 2 hours of bliss at AmAya!

Visited on a late afternoon for snacks and sangria, food was average and heavily deep fried however the sangria was lovely! Don't order a Spanish omelette unless you are wanting a Omelette with out the potato! Bizarre I must say.. I just think with a bit of passion this place could be something special. Regards,

Dropped in on chance for lunch. Beef rendang for me and large garlic prawns for her. Fast friendly service and both meals zesty and fulfilling. Nice view out over the harbour. Reckon it would be romantic at night.

Tapaz is located at Perdana Quay, or Telaga Harbour. There is outdoor seating overlooking a splendid marina where one can view yachts, catamarans and quite a few mega yachts! Happy hour is from 11:00 to 20:00 - BOGOF! The food is well prepared, well cooked and well presented. Prices are above the norm for Langkawi, higher than the Foodhalls but... More

Love the chicken liver pate, was craving for it after i left Langkawi. Had the lamb racks, it was most delicious that i could go for second round. It was a gorgeous place to be to watch the sunset by the harbour. Romantic and relaxing environment with excellent food.
