Good food in a nice setting

Stopped for lunch and it made a nice change from the local Malay food. The restaurant overlooks the Marina and is very peaceful to sit a while away an hour or two. The food was good though the 2 for 1 jugs of Sangria was not as strong as in Spain, probably just as well as there was only the... read more

I felt like eating outside of the hotel, so I walked to the Marina. I sat down at a table and ordered dinner. The weather was beautiful and then I looked to my right. There was a pile of garbage. I nearly vomited when I saw this. I certainly lost my appetite. I told the waitress and she apologized.

Popped by for some lunch as we were staying at The Danna and fancied a change. Ordered from the tapas menu. The food was average, nothing to rave about. Cost £16 for 4 dishes and two soft drinks.

We were very disappointed with this restaurant in general. Food was very tasteless and chicken souvlaki was rubbery. We ordered two virgin mojitos and a jug of mojito and were charged the same for both the alcoholic and non alcoholic version. When we asked why, first they tried to cover it up by saying they added extra alcohol in the... More

This is the worst food we had in all of Malaysia they couldn't even get grilled chicken right bad service and they charged the same price for a virgin Mohito and a cocktail mohito then tried lying to us saying they put double shots in the alcoholic mohito which wasn't true as the boys didn't drink them because they were... Had an evening drink - so much ice gin could not survive the onslaught so water and tonic (that comes from a syphon) - be warned! went next day for lunch - tiger beer was cold & refreshing. Had tapas - they make home made bread which was really good with chicken liver pate. I had humus and pitta. we... More

We ended up going back a number of times - the food was fresh and tasty, good value and the service was excellent - even extending happy hour for us.

I don't know why it took 20 minutes for small 4 dishes to arrive at our table. For god's sake the other table came later than us and had their food earlier than my table. The waiters and waitress were fine (actually they were attentive) but the cook, whoever he/she is, needs to learn how to cook within the right... More

We visited twice during the week we were in Langkawi. Great atmosphere overlooking the marina in the evening, very friendly service and a nice chance to try a variety of the dishes in the suggested combined taster menues, we tried two different. Yeah, the sangria is a bit on the sweet side, but hey, mix it with the rest of... More

We loved the variety of food, the location and the staff were great. We had lunch the day after the wedding and it was no trouble for the staff to cater for the group.
