Exquisite Thai food. Not by accident it is very close to Thailand. Expensive, yes, for Malaysia, but not when compared to good Thai restaurant around the world. Gorgeous location, but that is a given for places in The Datai hotel.

This is a Thai meal with a difference..... The restaurant is located in the rainforest canopy at the stunning Datai hotel. Perched high up you can eat fabulous food whilst gazing into the rainforest with its night time buzz and activity. We had three meals in two weeks and on the first night a flying squirrel landed on a tree... More

Seriously excellent food. After we found this restaurant we ate here every night. The location was spectacular as was the food. Every dish we had was great. The serves are small and expensive but you are on holidays after all...... We stayed nearby and luckily our hotels provided free transport. If you are not staying at that part of the... More

This is a lovely restaurant - you feel a little like you have found some kind of Aztec temple hidden in the jungle as you pass the hotel buildings on the way to the restaurant. The tableware is charming, the staff attentive and the food is fabulous. We had a lovely evening!

Did some homework and found the Pavilion Thai food at Datai Langkawi. Food was really delicious and service was great! One of the best Tom Yam Gong and Green curry we have tasted. Desert water chestnut and jack fruit is also a must try. Nice ambient and excellent service staff. Location a bit far and difficult to get there. Rent... More

4 night We stayed along the same private beach at The Andaman Hotel, but wished we had chosen The Datai Hotel instead. We had dinner twice at The Thai Restaurant at The Datai and the food was delicious, compliment to the chef and the staff. the kids menu was great too. We decided to walk trough the beach and Just... We came across from the The Andaman (free shuttle) to try this restaurant for grandma's birthday. it is an open air restaurant but the sea breeze kept it cool without the need for air-con. The Thai food was excellent - lovely salads, noodles and curries. The kids enjoyed their spaghetti so much they had 2 each. The service was impeccable... More

As everyone mentions, it's worth going for the setting alone. It really feels like you are in the middle of nowhere and sitting eating listening to the sounds outside was wonderful. We found the food to be good but not the best Thai we had in Langkawi. We were worried we might find it a little spicy, but it actually... More

This was our best meal on the island by a mile. We stayed at the Andaman next door where the food is so so bad and only found this place on the last night :( it is an amazing setting with the jungle on one side and the hotel pool on the other. the datai looks equally fantastic at night... More
