Uzbek food but not only

Nice food, sometimes a bit too salty. Big restaurant, sometimes very crowded. Helpful staff. They offer a menu in English although they basically do not speak. Generally recommended

They serve local dishes, kumys, shubat horse meat etc. I tried different dishes which are classical for me but here they prepared it in a local way using local horse meat, horse and camel milk.

Great variety of food from Central Asia, especially from Uzbekistan. All the things we have tasted were very good, the atmosphere is nice - although nobody is speaking a word in english - and prices are definitely affordable.

Last time I was in Almaty about five years ago, so decided to go check old good places, Tubeteika is definitely one to visit. It was and still is a good traditional food – three of us were there at business dinner. Fresh, natural and expectedly – a little bit heavy meals – Plov, Liulya-Kebab and Shashlyk (lamb and chicken)... More

A relativly cheap place for Europeans but the food quality was not good. Went here for a business dinner after it was recommended. The outdoor seating was nice and they do have the menu in English, a great help to me. I ordered a soup to start which was nice, we also ordered some local food. The cheese was pleasent... More

I asked the traditional Kazakh food and the waitress recommended beshbarmak. It is a dish with boiled meat (lamb, beef or horseflesh) with boiled dough and onions. A few pieces of horseflesh sausage are placed on top of the dish. A bowl of broth with fresh greens aside. Beside beshbarmak I ordered a teapot with fresh apples and honey. Beshbarmak... More

We went there together with my boyfriend. We were waiting quite a long time for waiter to bring menu and get an order. Maybe, waiter was not in a good mood that day but we fell like we are nothing to him, even when he brought a check, he just threw it on our table. Overall, food was fine, chuchvara... More

Even thought I live in Almaty, I love to go to eat to this restaurant. The food is tasty and have a good choice of food also for foreigners.

I loved it all - the cheesy thin breads, the tashkent salad, the plov with horsemeat, the shashlik, and the manti. Ok, maybe the meat in the manti wasn't so great. But everything else made for my best meal in Almaty. Service was great, and the outdoor seating was a bonus.
