This restaurant is close to Morioka train station. However, the sign outside the restaurant is not very eye-catching. If you are not careful enough, you will probably miss it. We were only in Morioka for one night, so we had to try the Morioka Reimen. Spicy and delicious! For 800 yen you get a good sized bowl of cold noodles, kimchi, hard boiled egg, water melon, cucumber pickles, and a slice of beef. A must try!

Rei-men is a specialty of Morioka and I like it so much. Pyon-Pyon Sya is a nice restaurant for travelers since it is near to the Morioka station, but besides the convenient location the quality of rei-men is excellent with noodles not too sticky nor too soft and soup of moderate taste.
