I had the Surfer's Choice: Pan-fried cajun spiced flounder with tropical fruit salsa, island mahi mahi topped with our coconut cream spinach sauce, and char-broiled swordfish with sauce Tar-Tar. The dish was awesome! The cajun spice was very spicy, the Mahi Mahi was grilled to perfection, and the swordfish is the best cooked fish I've had on the island. Even... More

I have been to Sam's by the Sea several times and I will continue to go back. No matter what the menu choice is, you can't go wrong. The souvenir drink cups are a favorite of mine although you don't get the most amount of drink in the cup but that's not really why you are getting the cup. The... More

The food here is Denny's quality. It is expensive for the quality and the view is not that great. There are myriad better restaurants all over the island. I just don't understand what all the hype is about with this place.

Less than a week on the island; the meal here was cooked to perfection. A must have is the assorted bread, pineapple butter, and the soup.

This restaurant is consistently voted a favorite on Okinawa and there are many reasons why. From the soup, to the drinks, to the entrees....Food is wonderful. You can generally find coupons for a free appetizer to help cut down on costs. The wait staff is extremely attentive. You are well taken care of. We went here after a graduation and... More

Sam's is a chain of restaurants in different locations on Okinawa with slightly different menus. this one features steak and seafood. With what tastes like Campbells cream of mushroom soup for your starter. Food is very bland, and the vibe is definetly 'lost in the early 70's'. Think dark, 1972 Howard Johnsons with (teenaged) waitstaff dressed in hokey sailor miniskirts.... More

Fun place to dine but wasn't overwhelmed with anything except the attentive service. Dinner was good, not great. Scallop appetizer sounded great but ended up real chewy & sitting in a gelatinous goo. Had the Filet & King Crab, enjoyed them both. Just a fun dinner out.

There are so many wonderful choices from the soup to the seafood and other landlubber options as well. Did not love the bread but was completely satisfied with the portions and other selections for my meal. Sure wish they had utilized the view better for ambiance. The small almost port hole type windows did not enhance the experience. Of course... More

I almost always order the red snapper, because I am immature and it makes me giggle, but it's amazing. The meal starts out with a curry soup that is to die for, and a yummy salad. then your appetizer followed by your main course. The food is always prompt, and delicious, staff is curious, atmosphere is wonderful and quiet. Wonderful,... More
