A little odd, but I'm not the target customer.

I'm not sure what to say about this place. First off I'm a 34yr old man and the place was packed with 60+yr old woman, so I'm not the typical customer here. The British tomato soup was good, but I have had better, however the portobello sandwich was amazing. The service was great and my peach... read more

We went exploring today for lunch - a friend had recommended this place for soup - and she is right on the money - my honey had a "taste of fall" (carrots, walnuts, squash, pumpkiny) thick soup in a bread bowl, and i had the turkey veggie (broth based) - both were excellent. The bread bowl was a nice size... More

Although we live hours away, we will detour to go here for lunch. The homemade soup in a bread bowl is excellent. I love the British tomato, while my husband goes for the potato. The cucumber garlic dressing is excellent on a salad with lettuce, grapes, chickpeas and other delights... But then how can one also fit in one of... More

My daughter-in-law took me here for lunch. I had heard about it from several people--all good comments. I wasn't disappointed. The place does not look inviting from the outside, and it is quirky inside. It is like going into an old farm house. But some of the items they had there brought back memories of my grandparents' home. They had... More

I have gone their with a group of lady friends many times. They have a very fresh lunch menu. Private rooms for large groups such as ours. Wonderful bread/soup bowl filled with homemade soups. It is in a refurbished farm house and has a lot of antiques that are being used. Great place.

Chat-a-Wyle, located in the house on what was a fur fox farm, between Binghamton and Owego, New York, is a unique experience. The decor is strictly 1940s-1950's kitchen, complete with enamel-topped kitchen tables with metal legs (I'm sure you remember those), plates and old prints on the walls, lacy curtains and old mirrors. The staff are all local ladies, who... More

My husband is disappointed that they are only open for lunch. Great food that you can tell is fresh and homemade which is extremely rare these days. Very quaint. Loved how all the tables are different. Big fan of how it is an old house so you are in a room with only two other tables (at least in the... More

My mother and I usually have lunch here on Monday's. It is our little escape, and together time. The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxed, and friendly, and best of all, we're never rushed. I've never had a bad meal or service here. I highly recommend it......

My wife and I had lunch together here for the first time. The establishment is set at an old farmhouse. The soup is amazing and is worth the stop alone.

I stopped for lunch with friends. I ordered the half-sandwich and a cup of soup combo: chicken marsala with garlic mayo on focaccia and autumn harvest soup. The sandwich was delicious, having a definite marsala taste, and the soup tasted like warm pumpkin pie, although not as sweet. The soup had a generous sprinkling of cinnamon on top, giving it...
