Should be on your Bucket list...

Each time we go to Sasebo we make it a point to go at least once. If you are going on holiday you can make reservations. We have only had to do this once for Valentines day. This should be on everyone's bucket list..

This place is so amazing. Its a tiny hole in the wall, you'd pass if you weren't looking. Its run by and old man and his wife. They've probably used the same skillet to cook with for 100 years, okay maybe 50. Its small, if it seats 15 thats a stretch. It's not cheap, but the food is damn good.... More

My husband and I ate at Steak Salon last night and I don't think I've had a better meal in my life. We made reservations (it's a very small establishment, very common in Japan), which I highly suggest or you might not get in, and didn't have to wait to be seated. The atmosphere was very cozy and we must... More

Nice small steak house. Very good service and very good steak. Nice example of Japanese steak house. Not the giant flat top griddle Westerners associate with Japanese steak house. Quiet elegant but not pretentious. My garlic steak was prepared well. not as flavorful as Midwestern beef. Meal includes salad soup and dessert. Nice experience plan on visiting again. worth finding.

Have tried their lemon steak and onion steak, steak so tender but no beef taste, this is the problem of japanese steak, tender but no taste. If u dont mind or just enjoy tender, then this is so good. The onion sauce is very salty. Suggest order the lemon steak, it just like normal grilled steak and put a lemon... More

You get more for your money compared to other steak houses in Sasebo. I prefer it over Fat Man's Steak house.

Gosh I love this place! Small, mom and pop steak joint with the best fruit salad, awesome soup, steak, coffee and icecream. You order a steak and the other items come before and after the entree. Its a small place but perfect if you want to bring a date!

The Steak Salon is hands down my favorite eatery in Sasebo, Japan. The restaurant has a rather drab and unassuming façade outside with a small sign but one can usually find it quite easily by the polite line of patrons waiting patiently outside. As it only seats about 12-14 persons at a time to ensure you get in reservations are... More

This is a "must do" in Sasebo. The wait can be long, but it is so worth it. The food is great and the atmosphere is nice too.

I don't usually do reviews but this restaurant hands down deserves a 5.0! This restaurant is nothing less than perfect. It's run by a husband and his wife and the food is absolutely scrumptious. I've been here 3 years and this is my most favorite place to visit. You cannot beat the taste. I usually get the garlic steak 5... More
