A bit sweet but nice environment

Went there early jan 2016 when I was traveling in Kagoshima. Didn't try last year because the weather was too cold. It's warm this year in Jan in Kagoshima, so why not try it. I was staying in a hotel near Kagoshima Chuo station and took a bus to tenmokan. The place is easy to find, in a crowded... read more

Went upstairs. Had the hamburger with cheese in it and a mixed grill set. Very delicious. Had a strawberry dessert. So yummy

Came over for dessert after our dinner. Ordered their signature dessert. It's kinda like condensed milk mixed with shaved ice, with colorful toppings. Found it a little too sweet for our liking. Waitress was polite with the recommendations though.

Seldom having dessert since I started my diet plan couple months ago. However, my cousin highly recommend me to try this shaved ice which is actually the founder (元祖) of this dessert in Japan. Three of us ordered 1 large bowl of the original flavour, also 1 small bowl of strawberry flavour, both full of jelly and fresh fruit, which... More

The dessert is refreshing, something like Singapore's version of ice kacang. The difference is this one used fruits. The taste is a bit too sweet for my liking but overall it is good!

Actually it didn't particularly look like a polar bear to me, but it sure was good. The ice slush is in cream and is deliciously sweet without being overwhelming. There are a variety of fruits throughout it, including a prune. That alone qualifies the dessert as unique! The fruits are all fresh, and the whole concoction is wonderful.

This is the place to go to if you need a shaved ice fix. Many selections but most famous for their "Shirokuma" white bear or polar bear. The dessert is served in a glass bowl filled with an assortment of fruit buried buried in a mountain of snow dripping with sweetened condensed milk. You can get brain freeze trying to... More
