Whenever I visite Fukuoka, I want to enjoy this Ramen. You have to eat individually but if you eat a bit hot tasty Hakata rament, try here in spite of uniquenesses in ordering, counter style and shape of bowl. Perhaps, here are tips I remember. 1. Entrance and way out is both one way. 2. Have to choose and buy... More

This is a chain in Fukuoka so we can find the outlets quite easily at shopping complexes/shopping streets in the Hakata and Tenjin areas. We love the taste of it and had it 3 consecutive nights for dinner. The good thing is they have the English version for the customisation form so it is quite a breeze. In December, we... More

This is truly Ramen-dine-in-on-the-go! First you take your picks of the items from a ticket dispenser, using the pictures and of course the cost as a guide (very few of us tourists know the language anyway). This is done at the tiny entrance with two ticketing dispensers. No coins? no problem! It takes up to 10000Yen notes. You then enter... More

If many people think that " Ichiran " is good ramen-ya, I am very sad. It's not good, just simply not good. I was born in Hakata & grew up eating a lot of goodies there including ramen. Broth doesn't taste good, their noodle is too fat, so soup & noodle is miss matched. Just they are like a bad... More

Wherether or not you consider Ichiran the best ramen in Hakata, it will certainly set a mark in your ramen knowledge overall. The experience is unique, the ramen outstandingly good. One of the best ramen I've had in my life. If you are not familiar with japanese language/style you might struggle in the beginning with no real grasp on the... More

I understand that people argue vehemently over where to get the best ramen in Hakata and many don't agree with Ichiran. But after much research, we chose to go there over the competition and had the best bowl of ramen any of us have ever had in our lives. Nothing in America comes close-it's like it's a completely different food.... More

My favorite Japanese noodle. It is especially for Korean or people who like spicy noodle. The soup is thick and heavy a bit as a noodle.

Don't let the title fool you, this place is pretty delicious, especially love that you can tweak it just how you like.....how much garlic, how fatty you want the broth, the spicy level. Great place just a little expensive (relatively) and well impersonal of course. I wish I could remember the name of another place just down the block. Great... More

We enjoyed our ramen here! It's so delicious, we loved being able to choose our ramen style and flavor. The one thing that stops me giving 5 stars is the side dishes. Although they too were very tasty, they were a little too small for what we paid. So I'd probably just stick to the ramen and beer.

If you are around the city, you MUST visit the Ichiran 本店. It's ramen at its finest. The whole ordering process was a bit confusing at first. You have to purchase the ramen tickets outside first and then choose your preferences after you are seated. The whole dining experience is quite fast paced but that definitely won't stop you from...
