We found this place through trip advisor and I'm so glad we went. The restaurant is in the entertainment district near hotels and the river. Its Hokkaido style bbq. Wow, this is a gem of a place. We loved finding it after reading some reviews, it’s a genuine, cosy and authentic place, with the chef and owner present there the day we went there for dinner. Kushiro is the home of Robata Yaki (Charcoal Cooking) and Toraya (lit. Tigers Place) is a great way to enjoy it. It is located near the river at the end of the restaurant district (across the road from the Paco Hotel).
