Amsterdam is a NY "city" that has a lot of history, an old city with a lot of new growth. We had been to the Raindancer before and wanted to take some friends for dinner. We were not disappointed. It has a lot of different rooms, each decorated differently. We made reservations and were seated immediately. We were seated in... More

i have been here 4 times and each time hasn't been the best experience. The first time I ordered their seafood casserole for $22.00 and when they brought it to the table there was a 1/4" layer of grease on top and it was made with fake crab! The second time we made our reservation for 6 and we were... More

She said it's more for dinner. The French Onion soup was awesome. Some of the best I have had and I adore... More

Standard American fare which rarely disappoints but is not expected to excel! Very popular with very good service and terrific salad bar.

When we don't have time to sit in for a great meal we will call and order take out. The filet and blue salad is always delicious and my husband likes the chicken Parmesan.

There's not much going on in Amsterdam, NY. At all. But this is a pretty nice, restaurant where everybody knows each other. Including the servers who talk a little too much to their regular customers while the non-regulars (that would be me) kind of get ignored. Salad bar, prime rib neither of which I've had seems to be favs. The... More

We were coming back from the last day at Animal Land and took a chance we could get in since it was still early. We were in luck ! One of the best dinners we have had in a while. It's great when the whole table is making those happy noises. I chose the Lobster Special, it was three half... More

Love the stuffed shrimp, with the artichoke dip. Food was cooked well with excellent service. We make a point to stop in every time we are in town.
