Cracking afternoon evening with Tony and Momo

The menu was simple and delicious. We had pizzas and the pasta - classic line up. It is a very cosy and small place. We did however have a minor altercation with the lady there because our kids kept dropping their forks. We couldn't get out of their fast enough as it felt obvious that kids weren't welcome.

We came here not by reviews in TripAdvisor, but by incident. In the cold winter days when travelling in Kanazawa, my wife suddenly want to eat pizza. And we saw a small restaurant served Pizza and coffee in Seseragi Street. At first, the restaurant was looked tiny a little, but there was something attracted us. And we actually found out... More

Pros: Tony and Momo--couple who compliment each other. Freshly made pizza and pasta in front of your eyes. Delicious food, hot black tea, interesting people stopping byto have a chat. Family Feeling. The christmas pudding is the top of the pudding pops! Momo's smile made my day---she loves people, loves Ireland and you can feel her warmth vibrate through the... More

What a lovely couple. We walked in on a rainy evening, and had a most relaxing enjoyable dinner. The service was unintrusive, the menu simple but delicious (on this night, pizza or lamb stew, green salad and apple crumble). We finished off with one of the best Irish coffees we had for years. All rounded off with a friendly chat... More

Located directly behind (on a charming street) the Kanazawa Tokyu Hotel, this restaurants has table seating for 6 with another 5 seats at the bar. The hosts are amazing. We were three Americans with an older colleague from Tokyo, he loved the pizza and beef stew. Like others, for the Westeners, it was a pleasant change from other Japanese restaurants.... More

This was only a short walk from our hotel on a rainy evening, and the welcome was warm and inviting. There is not much space so get in early. It is like being in your best friend's kitchen, great food prepared by Tony and served by Momo with good wines to match. We shared a pizza to start then vegetable... More

We had a very lovely evening with Tony and Momo. Lovely warm atmosphere in contrast to the hailstones outside. We had pizza and pasta and wine. All really tasty. Had a lovely chat with the owners Tony and Momo who made us very welcome. We'd strongly recommend :) Roly

My girlfriend and I arrived in Kanazawa today and needed a pizza and English-speaking staff after a week in other regions of Japan with sashimi, miso soup and tsukemono (pickles). After a bit of searching (due to the map in Lonely Planet being misleading), we found The Cottage, and it was a very nice experience. Tony and Momo are very... More
