We stopped in for lunch and ended up staying for hours chatting to the lovely hosts. Our pizza and pasta were both delicious and the restuarant was cozy - a welcome retreat from the cold. The lonely planet map is inaccurate - they have moved to behind the 109 department store.

We had a wonderful evening here a few days before Christmas - as the other reviews have indicated it has moved but is very easy to find. Right behind the 109 department store. The food was homely - the beef stew was great and had homemade bread on the side and the vegetable lasagna was very well made. The menu... More

We stopped by for lunch during our trip to kanazawa. Momo and Tony are amazing hosts, we had a great time getting to know them, had mulled wine, pasta, pizza and homemade Christmas pudding for desert. Such a cute, homely space...we didn't want to leave. Thanks Tony and Momo :)

Loved this place! It is located in the street behind the Excel Hotel Tokyu and Kohrinbo 109 department store. A really cosy, cute place with brilliant hosts. Tony and Momo really make you feel welcome. The Irish Stew and mulled wine was just perfect for the cold evening. This is a wonderful place to get away from the madness. Highly... More

If ever you find yourself in Kanazawa, dropping by The Cottage is a must. It has now moved to behind the Excel Hotel Tokyu and Kohrinbo 109 department store. If you get lost ring them, because this charming cafe/bar/restaurant is definitely worth seeking out. A highlight of our Japan trip, the first night we tasted delicious homemade pizza, pasta and... Dropped in on a rainy Monday night and had a great evening chatting to our hosts. We ate the pizza of the day, and had a few drinks to pass the time. Very comfortable atmosphere and Tony and Momo were great hosts, listening to our travel stories. Would highly recommend for anyone who is tiring of the Japanese food and... More

We spent 4 weeks in Kanazawa and have ate out every night. This was by far the best food, service and atmosphere we experienced. Tony and Momo are wonderful hosts and Tony is an amazing chef! We went 3 times in one week.

Had a really good evening at The Cottage. We had a great veggy lasagne and an Irish stew especially made for me because of allergies. The food was great and all fresh and homemade. Lovely owners. They recently moved and people have trouble finding the new location apparently. Its really easy to find: they are located in the street directly... More

Just behind the 109 department store, I was moved to babble street! Sign of "Kikuhime" is the mark! Use cherish Liquor shop after the ancient Japanese, it has become a more lovely shops! Desserts and pasta making of Tony's is a delicious love none, but lasagna is I'm a favorite! Talkative bright peach's, sake also go fun!

I visited two times this small and warm atmosphere restaurant and bar during my one week stay in Kanazawa. Tony and Moma are very friendly for all guests. I didn't eat there because I had breakfirst in a hotel but I notized that other guests were happy with the food and service. Note that the address has changed just resently... More
