This is a very small restaurant run by a Japanese chef with great English who has worked in Mexico. The food is interesting and certainly worth a visit if you would like a change from Japanese food. It's tucked away in a small side street which is not clearly marked on local tourist maps. Ask your hotel reception to help... More

We walked in and the place was full of foreigners. For Mexican food in Japan, it was good and the couple was lovely. The man talked with us a little, was very friendly and spoke English well. They have Corona and margaritas along with sake.

We almost missed out on this place, because there were no opening hours on the door. Thanks to a friendly local we came back and it was great. Simple and yummy food. Very friendly service.

We were the only people at the time so we got quick service. The owner was really friendly and appreciative of us being there. The corn chips were so fresh and crunchy I couldn't eat them quick enough, so more-ish :-) piña colada = yummo!!

Welcoming and accommodating. We arrived later in the evening and and the owner was more than welcoming. Despite it being a cold quiet night outside we felt at home here. Great food at a cheap price and amazing drinks !! Highly recommend this place

Loved this little restaurant. The owner was super friendly and it was nice and cosy. He single handedly took orders and cooked for us and a large group of about 10. We had the enchiladas, con carne, quesadillas and taqitas. All delicious and washed down with some Corona.

We almost didn't come here as we arrived too early and it wasn't open yet - that would have been a mistake! The owner was very friendly, and we were able to brush up on our Spanish with him! There were English menus available and we ordered margaritas to start - they were good & strong. The home-made salsa that... More

We went here based on other reviews and were not disappointed. The Mexican food is tasty without being amazing. The menu is limited but has all the classics. The owner Chef was busy and committed to pleasing all the patrons and cook all the food. We recommend it if you want a non-Japanese culinary in Takayama.

Great salsa, tasty veg burritos, excellent value for money. We arrived just as the restaurant was opening and sat at the counter. We were made to feel very welcome, food arrived in good time and after we ate we chatted to the owner (who is a really nice guy). Vegetarian friendly.

The owner is the loveliest person you will ever meet. My husband and I arrived for dinner one cold and rainy night and the owner open and closed the doors for us. We were the only people in the restaurant that night and we stayed until late and had a wonderful time. My husband and i both speak spanish and... More
