A small Japanese mountain town isn't a place where you'd expect to find good Mexican food, but this restaurant was great. The owner (and chef) was incredibly nice and cooked some really solid Mexican food. Guacamole was great, beef tacos were solid, and chicken enchiladas were really tasty. The atmosphere was surprisingly authentic (it looked like a Mexican restaurant should).... More

Really lovely man working here... We visited when the restaurant was really busy but he still got our food to us within 15 minutes. Nice place to just chill and have a corona - worth the wait! Rice in the burritos was a little Japanese rather than Mexican, but everything still tasted great!

Having read the positive reviews on tripadvisor, we decided to give this place a go. Unfortunately, we were rather unimpressed. We had vegetable salad (which was nice), nachos, salsa, vegetable burritos and something meaty (sorry, I honestly cannot remember what it was called). The chef was lovely but overall, we felt that the food was rather disappointing and not particularly... More

This small Mexican restaurant is a real gem. The food is very good, the owner is friendly, the beer is cold, and the music is great! We had dinner here on a weeknight in February. There were very few restaurants open when we stayed in Takayama, partly due to the recent snowstorm, so we were very glad to find the... More

We stopped by here for a post- dinner snack (!) of some nachos, guacamole and salsa, and beers. The food was delicious and really fresh. Better than most Mexican restaurants in London. The place itself is sweetly decorated and has a great atmosphere. The chef is lovely too. Top marks!

This is a very small restaurant run by a Japanese chef with great English who has worked in Mexico. The food is interesting and certainly worth a visit if you would like a change from Japanese food. It's tucked away in a small side street which is not clearly marked on local tourist maps. Ask your hotel reception to help... More

We walked in and the place was full of foreigners. For Mexican food in Japan, it was good and the couple was lovely. The man talked with us a little, was very friendly and spoke English well. They have Corona and margaritas along with sake.

We almost missed out on this place, because there were no opening hours on the door. Thanks to a friendly local we came back and it was great. Simple and yummy food. Very friendly service.

We were the only people at the time so we got quick service. The owner was really friendly and appreciative of us being there. The corn chips were so fresh and crunchy I couldn't eat them quick enough, so more-ish :-) piña colada = yummo!!

Welcoming and accommodating. We arrived later in the evening and and the owner was more than welcoming. Despite it being a cold quiet night outside we felt at home here. Great food at a cheap price and amazing drinks !! Highly recommend this place
