can be pricey but it tastes so good! my definite place to eat whenever I am in Nagoya. it's ocnvenient as well - right on top of shopping mall and easy to get a taxi back to your hotel.

Queued for nearly 2 hrs but had a very satisfying unagi meal thats unique (they have an unagi eating guide with 4 ways of enjoying their delicious unagi) and good to the last morsel. Prices were a tad high but then this is Japan...well worth the trip and wait.

Take note that there are 2 Atsuta Horaiken at Matsuzakaya Department Store. The B1 basement at the main building is a take-away one whereas this is the sit-in dining experince at the South Building 10F. This is the real one. I went there 30 mins ago before it started. I wasn't the first person in the cue. It became really crowded in 30mins with more than 30-50people. It's the best eel I have ever had, even I amn't eel's lover. The waitress gave us the 'How to' eat the rice+eel.
