the menu is great, the service is very good, nice and clean place, but a little bit salty, they should reconsider the amount of salt they use as I like to enjoy the taste of the food instead of the salt

After we had a great two first dinners in Aqaba (Fish in in Kempinski, local downtown place - don't remember the name) - we went to "captains" after reading great TripAdvisor reviews. The food was very bad, nothing was good, very unsatisfying!

We chose to have dinner at this restaurant as it was not too far from our hotel. Located on the ground floor, facing the street, this restaurant is supposedly known for its seafood. We found the mezze quite good especially the hummus and tabbouleh. It was the main dish that was just not upto the mark. Some of us ordered... More

Had the special fish of the day. It was a full fish, beautifully cooked, dorado. Staff very friendly. An enjoyable lunch and quite reasonably priced.

Dear readers....it is too late for me but save yourselves. As my arteries harden as a result of a massive salt overdose I feel it is my duty to warn others. Starter...salt!! Main course.....more salt!!! Salt salt salt salt salt! If salt is your thing then come here and give this place 5 stars, you won't be disappointed.

Please do try as an appetizer the shrimps! This was so deliciously prepared, with a nice sauce, little olives & corn. Afterwards you should take the 'bouillabaise' of seafood, but the best thing is to share this because the plates are huge. There's someting about the freshness of the seafood that make me want to go again :-)

We dined here on our first night in Jordan after a series of flights. It was Friday night and the streets and tables were busy, even at 10:30 pm. The majority of customers here were tourists. The restaurant is pretty mundane. Service was fine. We ordered Calimari and Fried Fish, neither of which was distinguished. Would not recommend this place.

Ate there a few times and found it to be well run with good service. The food was pretty good, a bit expensive (in Aqaba terms). The place sort of lacks personality and does not purvey a "local" feeling. Had the Jordan specialty Mansaf both at Captain's and at another restaurant, and it was definitely best at Captain's.
