The real thing

A local took some friends and me to this restaurant. It is in the heart of downtown Jordan, surrounded by restaurants and shops

Used to be an important destination for me and others in Amman -- probably it was the best Chinese cooking in Jordan. During my visit, it had become a Filipino restaurant, poorly prepared and overpriced. I also thought that prostitution was being managed there. Not my dish.

I know Chinese food. This is not Chinese food. The vegetable fried rice consisted of instant rice with frozen peas and carrots added. The spicy eggplant dish was too salty to eat without mixing it up in the rice at a ratio of 3:1 rice:eggplant. The noodles tasted pre-packaged. Although they have a few tofu dishes on the menu, they... More

This restaurant was hard to find, and you can find it inside of empty shopping mall, they don't have a toilet in there at all! Food is very expensive and after all, very basic.

We came here after reading the great reviews. The sign still says China restaurant but when you walk in the server said it's no longer Chinese food and that it's Filipino food. We decided to sit anyway and after a quick look at the menu we walked out. The prices were ridiculous for what it was and for being in... More

This restaurant is off the beaten path and sometimes hard to find (its right next to Standard Chartered Bank and next to the Aqaba Gallery shop). The food is GREAT and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere could be better as it can sometimes be smoky and there aren't many people there, but its fun to go as a group and... More

This was a major surprise to us. We were tipped off on this restaurant, which is located in the second floor of an office building just outside the main tourist track in Aqaba. The food was absolutely wonderful, big portions, great service. The only strange thing was the pretty bad 80's music (power ballad type) they oplayed in the background.... More
