As tourists visiting during the off-season and during Ramadan, it was a blessing to find Ali Baba open for lunch. The food was good, typical Middle Eastern dishes, and the staff was attentive without being overbearing. It was also well-priced for a restaurant in a tourist city!

My husband and I, along with some friends, enjoyed a lovely night out at Ali Baba. The service was wonderful--even a bit formal-- the dinner and drinks menus were extensive and varied (for a non-alcoholic treat, try the mint limeade!). It's wonderfully located right in the central "downtown" area of Aqaba, and the people-watching from the street is superb (as... More

Overall, good food. Salads are pretty good too. Portions are not huge, so that's a minus. But somewhat tasty enough to satisfy that urge.

Good food, reasonable service. Recommend looking for a table on the side street and not in the front where camelrides are offered with camels moving between the tables.

the food was quite tasty, considering we had just reached after a 4 hour long drive. my friend ordered for biriyani, and it was nowhere close to that. however, the pasta was much better. its located well. has a good menu, but is truly over priced in respect to quality.

We found Ali Baba after deciding not to eat at the No1 Trip Advisor recommendation of Al Shami, which was empty and looked like a cheap café. We sat outside and had a wonderful meal, receiving efficient and friendly service. .

Apparently one of the hot places in Aqaba and clearly well run and adapted to tourists. Without being a tourist trap, though. Outdoor serving. The food was pretty good and you could have glasses of local wine (which was not memorable). But the place and the service left a feeling of being a mere target of potential profit. I almost... More

Prices are reasonable but the quality of food and service are weak. Specially meet dishes were not good.
