Being from Texas and New Mexico. I miss mexican food. I have to say so far this is the best place I have found in the area. Its the first Mexican restaurant I found in this area. Its very good. Service started good but died out could use improving. They use aneheim peppers which I love. Food was... read more

It was Thursday at dinner time. I did NOT want to cook. My family and I decided to give El Palenque a try after many years driving past it to go to other eateries. A nice surprise awaited! 5 meals, all of them very good, nice and hot, good portion size, nice seasoning, kind waitstaff, timely service, good prices! I... More

I love the taco el carbon. Chorizo and steak tacos. It is done a bit differently every time we eat there, but it is always tasty. The free chips and salsa are a great thing to have. The service is always wonderful and you get the food fast, It is the only Mexican restaurant we go to in Buffalo.

it's close to where we stay (Amherst Marriott), the food is consistently good and the draft beer is always cold. We always stop in for a tasty meal and we always will. No complaints.

I hesitate to comment on the food as I was so distracted by the distasteful content of the televisions that project through the restaurant. The day I was there with a friend it seemed to be playing pranks of basically drunk losers some naked, being arrested or just rowdy. I don't know how this matches with meal time but I... More

My fiancé and I ordered the Mexican plates. They consisted of enchiladas, tacos, burros, and rice. The food was unimpressive and the portions were small. A sauce was poured over everything. It wasn't nice either. The thing I found most surprising was the store bought shells used for the tacos. Not what I would expect from a Mexican restaurant. I... More

Came for lunch and ordered 3 beef enchiladas. When the place came out the presentation was less than I expected. No refried beans or rice on the side, only the enchiladas. Plate was not even hot and I believe was microwaved. Very disappointed and will never come again. Must had ber

I have eaten here before, but will not again. I ordered a chicken taco with a corn tortilla and a beef taco. I was told by the waiter with bad vibes, they could not give me a soft corn tortilla. I could however order the dinner with 3 tacos and have corn tortillas. I only wanted two. Sorry. He wasn't.... More

El Palenque is a pretty good Mexican restaurant at Sheridan and Eggert. The lunch specials are a great bargain and the menu is extensive. Beer and wine are available. The complimentary chips and salsa are house made and delicious. A perfect way to start the meal.
