We're exhausted! In the fast moving restaurant merry-go-round this spot takes the first place award. Transit Rd, Elmwood Ave, Allen Street, Main near UB, farther down Sheridan....where have we forgotten? the roots are still here.....great falafal, hummus, lamb and all your favorites are here, but... read more

The two most recent times at Falafel Bar (within 6 months), I've been disappointed. The staff does not seem to understand food allergies and even when I ask them to ask the chef about ingredients or methods of cooking I can never get a straight answer. In May 2015 I mentioned my food allergies when making reservations and when I... More

The serve mediterranean foods.... mixture of lebanese and greek. We ordered a starter platter which was good but was served with limited pita bread and more were charged.... this is not a regular practice. Main Dishes were OK but not wow! The ambience is dark and so long we were there, there was only once more table with guests. The... More

Friendly, prompt service, local beer, good food. I ordered the falafel hummus wrap and greek potatoes. It wasn't a "I need to come back and bring all my friends!" kind of meal but more of a "Yeah, I'd come back some time" sort of experience. Menu items seemed just a tiny bit overpriced.

Had large family visiting Buffalo. Our meal satisfied everyone's diets and preferences. Sample platters are recommended as everyone was able to try new things. Lamb dishes were very good, as were wraps, salads. Waitress was excellent! Suggested different beers to try with everyone satisfied with them. Accommodated our requests except they said they were out of Turkish coffee when we... More

After reading the poor reviews regarding service I took a chance because I really wanted a Falafel sandwich and was desperate! Let me start by saying that I am a true foodie and am very critical of food establishments. The service was OUTSTANDING! Now I must say that I did not encounter the owner but the hostess and waitress were... More

In Buffalo you have an overwhelming selection of Greek and Mediterranian food choice. I also go to Rochester a lot where there are some unbeatable spots. The Towne, Family Tree, The Wherle, Athens, Mythos, Acropolis, Alladins. All of these with the exception of Alladins are easy consistantly great food that is fresh and well prepared. So we thought we'd try... More

After my lunch at this place with a business colleague, we had the unpleasant experience of meeting the unbelievably rude owner, whom our waiter had wrily described as "fiery." Hah! We had complained about the unannounced $2 upcharge for a teensy dish of sauce for our falafel sandwiches (which I would have thought would have already included sauce), and told... More
