I recently took my 85 year old dad for some father-son time. We were seated right away with about six other guests. The waitress was attentive. The grill chef was amusing - right down to the sake sampling (special care was given to dad - a very respectful gesture). The hibachi meal was excellent as is typical with most hibachi... More

Four of us went for dinner, and sat at a 'regular' table - not hibachi. We ordered a tempura appetizer, all had different entrees from the kitchen. All were excellent. The yakitori sauce was uninspired, but the actual skewers were tasty. All of the different sushi was delicious, and the bento that my husband ordered was an amazing value -... More

My sister and I had no idea what we wanted for lunch or where we would eat until we saw KYOTO. We initially thought it was a different type of restaurant, but after looking at the menu and prices, we decided to have a hibachi meal here. It was delicious! The service was friendly and fast. This place is immaculate!... More

We stopped here after a very long drive for a late lunch/early dinner. There were three of us at a hibache table. We all had filet mignon. Delicious! Very tender and delicious. We were absolutely starving but still could not finish our meals. I can't wait to go back next time I am in Buffalo. Staff was very friendly. It... More

The sushi appetizer was very good. The hibachi meal was typical and our chef did the normal stuff although his flaming volcano was weak. Meal was typical and decent but the server took too long to clear away finished plates. There was nothing extraordinary to set this Japanese steakhouse apart from all others but there were no complaints about the... More

We just wanted sushi take out. You have to go in and sit at the bar to order and wait for the food. It's a little awkward, if you don't want a drink! The sushi was very fresh, if a little expensive. We may try again, sitting down next time!?

I have given this restaurant THREE CHANCES! Here's one of my big pet peeves about hibachi places: it's not cheap and your paying for the "experience"... I get it. BUT... If I'm forking out money for the most expensive items on the menu I expect it to be consistent and done right. For all you seafood/shrimp lovers, you will understand... More

We went for a sushi dinner. This was my second visit to the restaurant. The sushi is very good and the service is friendly. There was a lot of noise coming from the side of the restaurant where they cook the food in front of the customers - singing and chants. Made it hard to have a conversation. However, if... More

Booked dinner here for a family of 12. The staff had everything ready upon arrival and we had our own hibachi grill for our party. Lin was our cook and he was amazing. Tons of food tosses and tricks and the sake pours kept coming. The food was amazingly delicious and cooked to perfection. We did have a lot of... More

My friends and I went to Kyoto on Friday for one of the girl's 21st birthdays. All of us were over 21. We were ID'd at the door, and then the manager came over and ID'd us again. The person manning our table refused to give anyone at our table sake. He said "maybe tomorrow". We asked to speak to... More
