Pleasant dinner with helpful staff

Found it difficult to find good restaurants in Danang but Nam Cali was good value for money with helpful staff and an English menu. Staff said they had Diet Coke and then went out and bought it for us without saying anything. Food was tasty and you will have a cheap enjoyable dinner.

Com Tam Ca Li is great primarily because its so cheap. Most of the food they sell is pretty tasty, its also quite a good clean restaurant inside with an English menu. This is probably a good place for tourists who don't speak Vietnamese and don't feel comfortable eating on the street, but also want to grab some food for... More

Did come specifically to this restaurants based on reviews here while looking for a delicious local fare. Ordered broken rice,a chicken dish and fish spring rolls - all the food was ok but nothing to shout about. Fresh juices were available but had loads of sugar. Service was quick and the Enlish menu was a definite bonus. I might eat... More

I just love this restaurant so much. The food there was phenomenal. And I love how the staff served us. They are very friendly, dedicated and careful. I was very surprised to know that it is managed by a Vietnamese but still provide such a great service. You can choose a variety of food with very cheap price (about $2/dish)... More

If like us you were after a good and inexpensive meal in Da Nang, you've taken a step in the right direction. Sure we had to take a cab there and back to Nam Cali Com Tam as we were staying on the beach front, but the freshly cooked, piping hot and generous portions (which was a pleasant surprise) make... Top marks for having an English menu, we went to 5 eateries within a 5 min walk from our hotel and were mostly greeted with blank stares, so finding this place was a relief as I was getting frustrated (compounded by an empty stomach). We had 2 serves of the beef and onions (we aren't massive eaters but the servings... More

We were staying at the Pacific Hotel just around the corner and stumbed on this restaruant - not many good restaurants in this area. The owner had very goodenglish and the dinning cahairs wre the only ones with soft, padded vinyl we have seen. Complimentary peanuts, water and vietnamese deserts (syrup of ginger/lychees - yum). Good selection of dishes at... More

As an overseas Vietnamese I can't remember coming across a better Vietnamese restaurant in Australia, the US or Vietnam. It's worth coming back here several times and trying a few dishes (I tried as many as I could in one sitting). The Com Tam (rice with pork chop inter alia) is good but some of the other a la carte... Based on the previous four reviews, my wife and I took a chance on this place. First, if you're staying out on the beach down by the Furama or perhaps other resorts, it will be a $5 taxi ride there and another $5 back for let's say a $5 - $10 meal (for two). We were greeted at the door... More

Thank you for taking the time to visit our restaurant in spite of the long distance from the beach; we cannot do much about this situation. You probably have arrived at a late lunch time. With respect to the AC not being turned on, Viet nam is going through severe electrical shortage for the summer and we do our best... More
