Description: The Reaching Out Teahouse, a second location for our social enterprise, was created because we wanted to share authentic Hoi An (which means peaceful meeting) through the tradition of drinking tea and coffee with friends and visitors. Tranquility is assured in our ancient house furnished with antiques. Our servers are all speech and hearing impaired and the joy of silence is reflected throughout the experience. Customers enjoy the high quality of our teas and coffees as well as the gracious service. All of our tableware is hand crafted in the style of the imperial families of Hue and is available at our workshop and retail store a two-minute walk from the teahouse. In addition to ceramics, we feature embroidered tablecloths and unique accessories. Fair trade operating principles ensure that our disabled artisans and servers receive fair wages and work under safe conditions. We invite you to experience our teahouse and to let us know about your experience. We learn to make improvements to our products and services through customer feedback and good reports encourage others to find their way to our shop to enjoy the silence.

Silent tea house Lovely atmosphere and a fantastic well thought enterprise aimed at helping individuals with disabilities. Try the tea or coffee tasting plates (pair those with the cookie tasting plate) and you won't be dissapointed!

Yes...the tasting flights of tea or coffee do indeed allow our customers to try all of our unique beverages. The cookies, all made in-house by our staff are a delicious accompaniment. Thank you for helping us spread the word about the Reaching Out Tea House. More

Great service, experience and overall atmosphere. The little treats that you can have with your tea or coffee are amazing and I must try to replicate! Quiet and tranquil. No stress environment away from the markets where everyone wants you to buy something.

This was a magnificent silent tea meditation. Since the charming waitresses are hearing impaired one automatically goes into silent mode, what a joy! In the stillness of this peaceful setting I ordered the tea tasting option - green tea, spiced tea, and jasmine which was my favorite. My tea came served in three beautiful Vietnamese - Japanese fusion teapots, a... More

What an enthusiastic review...thank you. So glad that you decided on the tea sampler....it really offers the best experience as one tastes all of the teas and sees several versions of our lovely tea ware which is made on the next street in our handicrafts store. The silence is also delicious...yes? More

I had wanted to come here and enjoy a good cup of coffee. Not only did I have the best vietnamese coffee of our entire trip to Veitnam, it was a lovely and peaceful experience away form the touristy Hoi An Main Street. The place is operated by people with hearing disabilities and you order via a piece of paper... More

The Reaching Out Tea House often touches people deeply.....the tranquility is a gift we often deny ourselves. Our wait staff have trained hard to offer the gracious service of tea and coffee in the traditional Vietnamese welcome. Their speech and hearing impairment adds to, rather than diminishes, the experience. Thank you for mentioning the quality of your coffee. We serve... More

We stumbled upon this tea house before we had read all the raving reviews about it and had a delightful time. I tried the more traditional coffee blend while my boyfriend had the jasmine tea. Both were fantastic. The ambiance in this place is unlike anywhere else: serene in a very unique way. Perfect for a break from the loud... More

Checked this place out following reviews on trip advisor, and we were not disappointed, So peaceful and calming atmosphere, you could read a book all afternoon with a green tea or local coffee. A portrait on the wall says "enjoy the silence", and we recommend that you do!!

A wonderful experience. A time to sit back a reflect on the day to yourself. I enjoyed the beautiful way tea is served. I went to the shop and purchased the tea set.

We went for tea after being recommended by some friends. It was a lovely quiet way to pass an afternoon. Constant free refills, great service, all by the hearing-impaired servers. Such a joy to find this oasis of calm. The biscuits were really good too.

We had a decaf tea blend and a taster plate of biscuits. The service and the style was perfect and the atmosphere was a pleasure, a stark difference from all else on offer. Do not miss this in HoiAn, it was my favourite establishment in town.
