This is in the middle of various other restaurants that aren't really restaurants. It's a long wooden bench with a cooking station at the end of it. A very friendly couple run the place - one takes orders, the other cooks. The man (chef) came and showed us how the food was supposed to be eaten, the place was clean,... More

The food court exist of many small kitchen stands from different families. It's much more down to earth (and cheaper!) than all the tourist restaurants in town. The size and diversity of the menu is unbelievable. We loved the hotpot of the Hi family. They were open until late (we often arrived at 9pm). Surely the other families in this food... More

My boyfriend and I came and did a cooking class with Mr Hi`s wife. We arrived at 11.00 and spent the next three house cooking and eating what we created. She let us choose four dishes from the menu to make. We made Pancakes with shrimp and pork, Wanton soup, Fried pork and lemon grass and grilled shrimp with turmeric... More

The duck wonton is to die for, and the hotpot is unbelievable! When we went, there was a sign with "MRS. CHIEN" on it. Couldn't find it on trip adviser but this seems to be a similar place.

This is really good. Cross over the bridge from Hoi an central and turn left- walk right to the end past lots of cafés and just around the corner, past Chip and Fish cafe you'll see a 'food court area with benches and tables- the red ones on the left are Hi. The food was very good especially the clay... More

After negotiating the embarrassing tripadvisor directions, I stumbled upon a very helpful picture of Mr Hi's business card that another customer had uploaded. My friend and I arrived at the bank of outdoor kitchens and fought off the approach of neighbouring chefs in order to find the wonderfully friendly Mr and Mrs Hi. Everything about them both is lovely, clearly... More

This place is in the midst of a bunch of family owned restaurants a little removed from the main strip of tourist area in hoi an. This is a real shame as it's the best food we've eaten in our four days here at a very good price. He service was excellent. It's not a fancy place but were here... More
