We went after reading some TA reviews and weren't disappointed. We ate there 3 times and were impressed each time with the food. There wasn't the close attention by Mr Hi mentioned in other reviews, maybe he is resting on his laurels but we were still happy with the service. We would definitely recommend it over the other more expensive... More

This restaurant is one of about 8 market style restaurants set up just off the river. We ate at a couple of them, Hi Restaurant being one of them, and left totally satisfied on all accounts. As we ate we thought to ourselves why is this area not packed out every night? Probably because the location is ever so slightly... More

I was blown away by "Hi" restaurant's simple yet delicious Hoi An dishes. Firstly, the two owners were so kind, smiley and chatty. We had a local delicacy called "Cao Lau"...definitely my favourite and would recommend. Then we had Crispy Fried Pancakes...amazing! And it was all so cheap. Beer is only 4,000 Dong too. All i wanted was a fully... More

It was recommended to me to do a cooking course while in Hoi an. So I chose this one. Learned some amazing but simple dishes! Loved the experience! Very cheap at $20. Well worth it. People should be lining up at the door! I couldn't even eat all the food I cooked. Lovely, friendly people.

Highly recommend you enjoy the price, flavour and atmosphere offered by this hidden gem! (TA map is slight off on GPS) It is easy to get lost in the myriad of tourist trap restaurants that line the river, so this oasis will surely cure that dilemma. Don't expect bells and whistles, just good local food! Please try the White Rose... More

Tried to obtain keen on Just Tacos other than as customary readily available was a stay. Maru-Hi was quick simple and reasonably priced. I don't advise the saki sampler but the whole thing also was unbelievable. Huge by means of children or a not your standard Friday night-time time. We resolve be rear!

Intended to go to lunch at Mr Son across the road but the wind made us seek shelter in Hi's (slightly) more protected establishment. 4 dishes and 6 of the lovely coffees for about $10. We'll try Mr Son again tomorrow but would happily go back to Hi's too.

We ate here last year and were very satisfied and were happy again. The surroundings were not as good as last year because the restaurant is on the opposite side of the road. The original restaurant was lost due to the cyclone. They are due to move back shortly when a new building is completed. Even so we had good... More

Good value restaurant. Extensive menu. We were so pleased with the friendly service, we came back for breakfast the following morning. The omelettes we had for breakfast were the best we have ever had. Restaurant located just around the corner from the main entertainment street in Hoi An.
