Hi and his wife gave us a tasty cooking class for Hoi An local foods, and at a much cheaper price than some others we looked at. Step by step instructions were easy to follow and our class was just the 2 of us. Apron and cook's hat supplied and all ingredients were fresh and techniques explained. We also got... More

We were thrilled to find Hi Restaurant, which was a short walk from our resort. The owner and his wife are so friendly and helpful to explain unfamiliar foods. The cao lau was good but not the best we had in Hoi An, but the banh xeo and white rose were among our favorite foods we ate in Hoi An!... More

We originally visited 2 years ago and after visiting again on this trip was not disappointed. Food is fresh, tasty and cheap. Service was great too. This is similar to a little street market area but don't let that put you off, you will not be disappointed.

We dined here two days in a row. It's cheap, cheerful and very very tasty with good cheap local beer. We had the White rose cao Lau but my favourite was the grilled pork, absolutely beautiful and probably my favourite dish during our stay in Hoi An

If you're after a taste of local food and cheap beer then you can't beat this street side restaurant. The couple who own/ run it are incredibly friendly, the food is amazing (and quick) and prices are very reasonable. Beers were under $1. Must try.

A bit out of the way so hard to find, but worth it! Cheaper than food in the centre of the old town, and delicious as well. They offer all the traditional dishes and the couple who run it are lovely. Will be going again before we leave Hoi An.

This is in the middle of various other restaurants that aren't really restaurants. It's a long wooden bench with a cooking station at the end of it. A very friendly couple run the place - one takes orders, the other cooks. The man (chef) came and showed us how the food was supposed to be eaten, the place was clean,... More

The food court exist of many small kitchen stands from different families. It's much more down to earth (and cheaper!) than all the tourist restaurants in town. The size and diversity of the menu is unbelievable. We loved the hotpot of the Hi family. They were open until late (we often arrived at 9pm). Surely the other families in this food... More

My boyfriend and I came and did a cooking class with Mr Hi`s wife. We arrived at 11.00 and spent the next three house cooking and eating what we created. She let us choose four dishes from the menu to make. We made Pancakes with shrimp and pork, Wanton soup, Fried pork and lemon grass and grilled shrimp with turmeric... More
