I feel slightly awkward about reviewing Bamboo Buddha and was in two minds whether or not to skip the review altogether. The food was very nice but other TA reviews mentioning heavily salted french fries and a 'bit expensive' certainly hold true. What I really didn't like was 10% VAT added to the Bill (yes, I know it's in small... More

Bamboo Buddha was a wonderful experience. We came here for a quiet dinner and it didn't disappoint. The location is right off the night market, but the street wall planted with bamboo gave a nice separation from the hustle and bustle outside. The meal was wonderful using local ingredients to make classic French dishes. The wine list was fantastic as... More

I had a great time at Bamboo Buddha while in Hoi An. Our group was greeted by the owners and staff at the door and ushered upstairs to our tables where cocktails were promptly served. The room was stylishly decorated and romantically lit. Lots of smaller dining rooms, so each seemed very private. I liked the ambiance very much. We... More

Visited again, this time with my wife after having a great meal here on my own last year - this time had the set menus which are great value and as last time the food was super; I particularly like the bruschetta and the country chicken with fries (and aioli). Also very nice sitting on the balcony, overlooking the night... More

We ate at the Bamboo Lounge last night and enjoyed our meal a great deal - I had the roasted duck breast with candied apple and blinis and my husband had the fois gras with pear from the gourmet menu, which was accompanied by prosciutto bruschetta with pesto as an appetiser and either cheese or dessert following the meal (we... I really enjoyed my experience at the Bamboo Buddha. My girlfriend and I stumbled to this restaurant after not having a reservation at Mango Mango and being turned away. We were glad Mango Mango was full though, b/c Bamboo Buddha made our evening amazing. We both got the Australian Steak, Cabernet and had chocolate cake and creme brûlée for desert.... More

We happened to accidentally stumble on this place and we are so glad we did! The food was amazing and the atmosphere complemented our experience perfectly. The owner and servers were very friendly and helpful and I have to say it again - the food was delicious. We got the steak and fries. It was a little on the expensive... More
