Our hotel recommended the place as a "local" spring roll place. When we got there it was packed with groups of tourist. We hardly sat down they started to push food on the table yapping something like "set menu, set menu"...We asked what we can order and they said that the set menu was all that they have. After having... More

The food here was delicious! There is no menu - you are seated and they bring you plates of meat, salads and shrimp rolls and show you how to roll it all up together into rice paper rolls. Authentic and amazing, and a great experience!

Great street food, no menu. You sit down and you are immediately presented with food - and lots of it. DIY rice paper rolls, you can assemble them how you want have them as spicy as you want. It's completely up to you. I went solo and left satisfied. The food tastes amazing and epitomises Vietnamese street food. You even... More

This restaurant offers one meal only and make sure you bring your appetite! So much food - very, very good though. The owner is terrific - full of fun and energy but watch out - she will make you continue eating long after you are done!

This is a very popular restaurant. It is street food and when you are seated in the alley, there is no menu. The food is brought up and the waitress makes up your spring rolls for you. It's very busy and fast, but very tasty and a great experience.

I love the fact that there is no menu- you just get the fresh pork satay with the greens and rice paper and you are all set. It was so tasty, and there were no frills about it.

Hidden in a dark little alley in Hoi An this place offers an experience well worth it. A simple set menu where you build your dish and could not possibly be disappointed. Pork & chicken skewers, spring rolls, rice paper, herbs, satay chilli sauces and the best vietnamese pancake I've had so far. This is authentic and delicious. They finish it... More

Bale Well more than lived up to its reputation as offering the best street food in Vietnam. Their special spring rolls and Vietnamese pancakes are the best. All this with a bottle of Da Nang red wine was delicious. The proprietor was an amazing and welcoming woman. Thank you for the great evening at Bale Well.

Bale Well is a restaurant with street food feel. There are street food stalls in Hoi An, but if you want to sit properly this is the place. It's been given various reviews as people find it a bit pushy when there is a guy in the street yelling out:"Yes, this is the Bale Well! In here!" But there are... More
