Such delicious food! They showed us how to eat their dishes as we hadn't come across rice paper wraps before without us even having to ask them to. The vibe here was great and we felt really looked after, which for a cheaper street food style place is very very rare. You absolutely must go here when visiting Hoi An.

Ever wanted to make your own springrolls.....Try Bale Well, the best ever. Bit of a mess, best to say a dump in- and outside the establishment but the atmosphere is special because it is typical Vietnamese. No nonsense, this is how the people here eat and if you prefer a nice cosy place with perfect lighting you better avoid this... More

We went here on our 3rd night in Hoi An, based on its high TA rating. It really didn't live up to expectations. Its very unclean: rubbish all over the floor, dogs and rats running around, sticky tables. No menu, so just get food thrust at you when you sit down. Not well presented at all. Staff nice enough, but... More

No menu and unique meal, but absolutely delicious. They serve the bbq pork on lemongrass skewers, spring rolls and those Vietnamese specials which are half way between crepes and omelettes filled with pork and shrimps (Bánh xèo). And prices are very reasonnable compared to other restaurants in Hoi An. Highly recommended.

Our meal at Ba Le Well Restaurant was one of my favourites. The menu consists of only 4 perfected meals, making disappointment impossible. We had the pork skewers which were so tender and flavoured so well, and the whole process of building our wraps was really fun. The staff are really friendly, and gave us a lesson (and a kind... Very delicious food with a lot of variety. The set menu is great. The staff were very friendly and showed us amateurs how to go about eating the dish. The Hoi An locals were chuckling a little bit beside us as we struggled -- it was wonderful to eat somewhere where so many locals came! VERY filling, and very tasty!

Dining here was an experience! We went to dinner with a few other travellers who had stumbled across this place the night earlier. To be honest I have no idea how one would stumble across this place, it is a little out of the way, down a side alley (hence the 'hidden' part of my title!) As soon as the... More

So you sit down at the table and within a few minutes, plates of food are brought to you - I don't think they have a June as such. You just s standard fayre. One of staff then come over to you and show you how to feed yourself!! That entails wrapping the food in a certain way and it... More

If you wish to have a meal with a local flavour, do not miss this restaurant that is located almost on a side street. Once you are seated, the staff will almost know instinctively what you will want - the shop specialty which is a kind of spring roll plus. The ingredients for wrapping your own rolls are laid out...
