Considering all the very good reviews, and when we walked past the night before and the guy was very keen to get us in - had high expectations of this place. But when we walked in the staff were almost indifferent to the fact we were there - maybe we were just there a bit late (9pm) - the manager... More

I don't think i can praise this family run restaurant enough. The family are happy to interact with you and always seem to have a smile on there face. On our 1st visit here we only stopped for drinks but this didn't deter them from serving some FREE pork spring rolls for us to sample, they were simply some of the... More

This family-run restaurant offers very tasty food - probably the best spring rolls we had during our visit to Vietnam (grandmother's recipe!). Lovely smiling staff, always very welcoming. We ate there several times during our stay in Hoi An as it was just along the road from our accommodation near Cua Dai beach. The chargrilled duck with orange sauce was... More

The chargrilled duck with orange sauce is to die and go to heaven. This is simply the best dish I have eaten in Vietnam. And I have been here twice now. Fantastic. Do not miss this restaurant as you pass by. Do not! That's an order!

This restaurant was so good we went back on the second night we were in Hoian. This was recommended to us by the lovely staff at The Hoian Riverside Resort where we stayed and only a couple of minutes walk away. The food was brilliant and the staff a delight. They went out of their way to cater for my... More

Son Hoian restaurant is a lovely restaurant by the river, a couple kilometres from the old town. The food was beautifully cooked. We enjoyed local specialities cao lao and ban beo (steamed rice cake), which tasted more refined than those from the streets, but still retained the simplicity of homecooked food. The fried stuffed squid had robust flavours and would... More

After finding out about the food scene in Hoi An, they strongly suggested me to come to this place, in particular Neville from the Taste of Hoi An Food Tour. If you are staying in the old town, is a little far, but it is worth the short trip by taxi. I had the American, a smoothie with pineapple, passion... More

We've eaten here twice now on the recommendations of Neville from the Taste of Hoi An Food Tour. Lovely people, small menu but done really well. We can recommend the cassava salad, fried wontons, duck in orange sauce, chicken in lemongrass sauce and the prawns in garlic. Simply wonderful!
