Fabulous cooking class

Introduced to this restaurant by Nevile (the great taste of Hoi An). Had a meal here which was extremely tasty over several dishes shared by seven. Booked in for a cooking class, just myself and Huy. Amazing, amazing! I had two hours preparing my choice of three meals from the menu, Huy is a... read more

Laugh Cafe have my husband's favourite food so far on our Vietnam trip - wontons with a sweet and sour style salsa. My son loves their white roses and everything else we've eaten there so far has been lovely. The restaurant has a spacious open feeling and is spotless. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and gracious especially towards our... More

We had both dinner and lunch at Laugh Cafe while in Hoi An. The food is great and they offer authentic local dishes - the Cao Lao is really good! The service was great, the young girls working at the cafe are very sweet and serviceminded. The prices are great for a budget as you get a lot of great... More

We had some very flavoursome food here. We had the wonton and the chicken noodles. Both were very nice. Also tried the bean paste cake in banana leaf which was interesting. Nice setting, friendly staff and I like the concept of training youths so it is definitely worth a visit for that, if not for the cheap beer!

We had spicey squid in a banana leaf, just the right amount and pork and cashew, a Saigon ice cold and a great orange and passion fruit juice. So very reasonable... More

I can't fault anything we ate here. Excellent noodles with pork and crispy skin. Amazing slow cooked eggplant/aubergine in the hot pot and fish with tomato, pineapple salsa. Extra cold beer, about 15 cents per glass. Just a perfect night.

Dishes here seemed very cheap, particularly compared to restaurants in the centre, but when ordered were absolutely excellent. Such delightful food and helpful staff, willing to explain to an ignorant westerner how to eat Vietnamese delicacies, make this a real treat!

This restaurant is on a quiet corner and very Western friendly, presenting Vietnamese dishes in an accessible (aka not very flavorful) way. The staff is very friendly and it's nice to support a great cause by eating here. However, I ate much better food elsewhere in Hoi An. I think many of the reviewers overstate the quality of food here....... More
