We happened to stumble upon this restaurant while cycling through Hoi An, had a look at the menu & thought we would give it a try. It was late in the evening & we debated whether to sit inside or out because of the mosquitoes but the staff quickly lit repellant candles and placed them around our table. Starters: Goats... More

Just back to our hotel from enjoying Christmas dinner at Cavar Brassier. The service was great, the food was lovely. I ate the calamari for entree and black prawns for main, passionfruit parfet for desert. Others had the steak, chicken / shrimp dish and seafood noodles. Our party were all happy with their meals and enjoyed the experience.

Stopped by for a light lunch because we saw the Christmas menu that had what we wanted. Turns out we were week to early. The Chef/owner came over and talked us through some alternatives. We had some goat cheese on toast with honey and almonds that was divine. The fried calamari was perfect. The Chef managed to scrounge up a... More

The setting and service was great but the food disappointingly bland and very expensive, compared to others in the area. We had steamboat, prawn curry and a chicken stir fry. We don't understand why other reviewers and the guidebooks rate it so highly.

We had read such good reviews on this place, on trip advisor and elsewhere, we thought it was 'a must try' whilst in Hoi An. My husband had the prawn curry which was just okay and I had the seafood steamboat which was truly dreadful. It was completely lacking in any flavour whatsoever and it felt like prawns, a couple... The place is set in a beautiful tropical garden. Cosy yet exquisite with a blend of Hoi An Vietnamese dark funiture and a Nordic touch in the way it is lit up with candles and Swedish table cloth. The food is at a good balance of spices to make both vietnamese and westerner happy. If you are looking for a... More

After liking the look of the dinner menu earlier in the day we decided to go back and try it but were let down. The cocktails (ginger mojitos) and bread basket were a promising start. The mains less good: my other half ordered the pasta special - bacon, feta, olives, herbs - which arrived without any sign of bacon. When... More

We visited this place twice in one week. If your looking for cheap food this is not the place, but if you are looking for high quality western food this is the place. It is a large venue with inside and outside dining near the river , only a walk rom the old town over the bridge. A very peaceful... More

I walked by this place on the way back to my hotel, and ended up talking to the owner/chef about the seafood steamboat, and went back for dinner. The steamboat is a substantial serving and it was delicious - though I should have asked for it a bit more spicy. ;) There's definitely cheaper options, but the quality and preparation... More

The lush greenery of the entrance heralds a soothingingly cool interior, perfect on a very hot and humid Autumn festival day. Extensive wine list, we chose an Organic Pinot Gris from Sicily, and were certainy pleased with the fresh, grassy wine. For lunch I had the shrimp red curry, delightfully spiced, with a smooth, not over creamy coconut milk sauce... More
